So, I finally watched both Mich and Minn games. I think Frost is back if he can go 2-2 in the last 4. He might even come back if 1-3 depending how the 3 losses look. Here's what I saw. The team is definitely better, I feel like they are good o-line play away from winning. If he gets a new o-line coach with experience, those young guys are going to turn the corner. I think the D has depth and even with losses of some good guys should stay strong next year. I'm indifferent on AM. He's just so inconsistent, if he has a tendency to hold the ball too long and misses the open guy and misses some easy throws too often. Between that and the bad o-line play the offense stalls way too much. It's why the statistics say we should be a better team but aren't because of them never being able to consistently put it together.
Mich, refs were atrocious. Calls going both ways but NU definitely got the worse of it. But I didn't see a problem with AMs fumble call, gotta hold the ball to the whistle. Again, they were right there, but left way too many points on the field and it's a combination of poor o-line play and some poor playcalling. Sometimes I think SF just over thinks it too much and tries to do something that our o-line just can't do.
Minn - D decided not to show up and that really hurt. Probably a combo of PJ being good at scheming coming off a bye and some sort of let down between Mich and Chindalers dad's death. Felt like they took control in the 3rd until the goal line stand. AM was in on the 3rd down play, can't believe they didn't give that to him. Then Yant tripping on 4th. I feel like if they put that in, they would have pulled it out.
Hoping we can put a beat down on Purdue and we'll see what happens against OSU.
