Never heard anything from them that I’d care to hear again. I generally love Athens bands, but not them.

Their drummer had a side project that opened up for Drive By Truckers, Georgia Satellites and Drivin N Cryin. It wasn’t bad, but not good enough for me to remember the name of the project or look more into them

not all Athens bands are going to sound like the Truckers, especially when it is a University of GA product like REM

we get that you are extremely niche in what you like, but you aren't what I would call open minded when it comes to music

When I think Athens bands, it’s The B52’s and REM.

You’d be surprised at a lot of the music I listen to. REM is pretty much just the American answer to U2 that nobody really needed

I think of Jason Isbell when I think DBT, and he’s been out for like 15 years.

I made a comment about my favorite jam band, Widespread Panic who is out of Athens. REM is also out of Athens and they both formed around the same time. REM made it big, Widespread didn’t, just wandered why. Different kinds of music, but Widespread is awesome and REM sucks donkey balls.

I'd say Widespread Panic got big in their own way...but just not on the pop side of things like REM did.

and I don't think REM sucks....they just aren't your style.

like I said, you aren't very open minded when it comes to music

I still listen to both. My first taste of Jason Isbell as a solo artist was when he did a post game concert at the new Braves stadium in 2017. Jim Johnson blew a 3 run save chance that night
