I think true confidence is not caring what others think. If what you do(exercise or studying) is to compare yourself to others, you lack total confidence.Apparently a lot of people think their “best self” is masking up, taking a bunch of shots, and going on w business as usual.
No change in diet, exercise, drug and alcohol use etc…
If thinking you’re better or above that is arrogant then I’ll take arrogant over best self all day.
I think confidence is the ability to be honest with yourself and with others. Even if it’s a little mean.
If you lifted more you would have the confidence to. deal with my honesty.
Yeah, I'll take that bet.bent over rows for your lower back. I bet you never hit that weight for anything in your life
Yeah, I'll take that bet.

I get that but I don't see it as a negative. Motivation, although an internal emotion, can be spurred by outside influence. Rob is that influence for some. His methods don't work for all, but they do work for many.Rob works out because he lacks self confidence
the gym is where he has control and feels like he can be himself. That's great.
but like I said, he makes a living by telling others what they are doing isn't enough, which is what he is doing here.

I get feeling good and feeling accomplished when it comes to working out
but I don't get why he limits it to weight lifting
working out is working out is working out
also if you want to check out a dude making big changes in his lifestyle, look at Action Bronson. Dude got heavy into working out and it's been a huge change. Respect that dude.

no, that doesn't make me angry at allYou guys aren’t angry yet that you have to run down and get all these shots? Or are you blah blah whatever take my shot get wasted yadda yadda life goes on?
no, that doesn't make me angry at all
why does that make you angry?
cool
what stress?I’m healthy I don’t need any of that stress.
Agree. I miss running. The elliptical is a poor replacement, but I just can’t do high impact anymore. It doesn't, I felt my best after a 6-8 mile run. Since my running days are pretty much over I lift pretty consistently now with a little elliptical mixed in. From my personal experience, running was the best natural confidence booster much more than lifting and way more than elliptical or biking. I felt like I looked my best during my heavy running days and little weight training.
