Tuesday...National Check Yo Wipers Day

Nah. Most can't even stay open now since people dont want to work.

Being too crazy to work is very hip right now. On way too many depression drugs to work. Gotta go shop for weed to relax.

So many do. @RobBase (c) here is a perfect example, which is probably fitting because ultimately, I blame Rob Lowe for this nonsense.

The misuse of "literally" has grown so pervasive that I'm afraid that at some point, this bastardized definition will make its way from the American lexicon to our dictionaries.
It literally happened years ago. It’s literally one of the stupidest things ever. I literally hate it.

Yes! And a new shaker.

Where did all of the workers go? I honestly don’t understand it. We just got a notice from our school district that they’re short 24 bus drivers. Did they all go to work for Amazon? How is it that every business needs more people?

The rich are being eaten as we speak.

They might have to, because there aren’t enough people working at Kroger. No carts in the store and rarely more than two or three checkers working. Most times, you have to help them bag just to keep the lines moving.

Maybe the COVID death toll is much higher than was reported

so the wedding in Miami was a pretty good time. It was two hardcore Long Island Italian families coming together, which made it pretty entertaining...and the food at the wedding was tits.

Miami Beach though...not so much. What a pile of trash that place is.

finally found a good bunch of restaurants on the last night on Espanola Way...got some gabagol and burrata followed by some gnocchi...malbec was good too...but fucking A that city is expensive
Well, Miami is a shithole so...

I mean, the bags and stuff slightly reduced the odors, but yeah, I wasn't about to ask someone to buy it for us. It broke a few months ago, we threw it out and are basically on a two plastic bag system. #1s go in a bag that goes out in the trash on trash days, #2s go in a bag and right outside.
Pro tip: put a 1/2 - a cup of kitty litter or oil dry over the diaper when you throw it in.

I don’t know. At first I thought was the extra unemployment people were getting, but TX ended that months ago and things haven’t changed. It’s like a whole bunch of people just stopped working. And it’s not just shitty fast food jobs, either. Seems like everyone is having trouble sourcing employees.

I think its due to multiple factors:
1) People who could retire did
2) Some people are making more from stimulus/government aid than if they actually worked
3) Lazy people who didn't want to work in the first place now have a built in excuse
4) And a new phenomenon, a younger generation that is content to have just enough to get by on. They aren't interested in bettering themselves or stowing away money for a rainy day. Its about today for them. If someone can exist on $500/mo they are ok with that

I'd a corollary to 4. A lot of the younger generation has decided to have a lifestyle built on side hustles and found out working for yourself ain't so bad.

Its a nationwide and industry wide problem. I have also found that while some states have ended their assistance programs they may still be receiving federal aid
