Nebraska Cornhuskers The Official 10000 posts for a Husker Conference Championship

AM got banged up again and SF won't put in Smothers. Put him in at end of half because something was wrong. I was thinking the same thing about the option, as AM running was the best play and definitely looked like it was there. That first Smothers play almost broke loose but the RB got knocked into him.
Injured shoulder to add to his high ankle sprain and broken jaw.

Not sure if this was asked yesterday, but why in the hell are Huskers calling fair catch on kickoffs? Don't they know you have a change to make play on a return? This is just another in long list of really poor coaching. I just don't understand. Is Frost just plain ole stupid??

my guess is since ST is so bad and they consistently weren't getting out past the 20 when returning them, they just told them to Fair Catch no matter what. There was one instance where you could see whomever caught it against Wiscy, you could almost tell our player was just telling the other guy "My coach says we can only fair catch, nothing i can do about it" or something like that. But, yea, i was thinking the same thing a few times when he caught it out near the 10, it's like dude, you really don't think you can get back to the 25?

Just saw this news. Guess we are finally going to see if it was AM keeping us close or holding us back. Can you imagine all the yelling if Smothers wins this game?

If Frost calls a shitty enough game that shouldn’t be a problem.

Austin Allen going pro. I'll guess 4th round. I know nothing about other TEs in this class, total guess.

Allen, Doman and CTB. Are those the only draft picks this year? I wouldn't be surprised if only 1 or 2 of them get drafted and not all 3.

As long as Frost calls the offensive plays both he and we will see the same movie week after week and season after season. He seems to be the pass happy idiot (who fired the O coordinator) that goes away from what’s working and does not chart successful plays vs the shitty garbage he calls at the worst time (shotgun play action passing from the end zone).

yep, pretty much. i just don't understand the shit play calling. you come out of half, get a fumble, drive 94 yards to go up 21-6. did you do that with passes on the opening play of the drive? fuck no. 8yd run, 5yd run, then pop the 27 yd pass, 7yd run, 2 yd run, 3 yd run, then pop the 40 yd pass, 2 rushes, TD.

Hopefully can find an OC that also brings along a good OL coach. then that OC can get the offense humming. SF gets something going then he shoots it dead and switches.

then hire a damn ST coach, gotta get these kids tuned in and make that a strength.

I'll be honest, i didn't think SF deserved another year, but Trev made the call. I do see this team as real close and a new OC might take it over the hump, a new scheme and hopefully being able to play to strengths better. Literally no difference between us and Iowa besides some crap ST play. If SF pushes the gas instead of the shit button, that game would have been won in the 3rd Q.

oh, and fuck the BTN refs. that DPI on CTB was bullshit. No holding on Iowa OL was bullshit too, several times Stille was bear hugged and nothing. plain as day too. Oh, and that hold on Iowa LB, ref literally said it was before the throw, but then goes back and changes it to a pass behind the line of scrimmage and we only get 10 yards and no first down, we got a 1st anyway, but WTF? i was surprised they managed to get the 3 video reviews of catches correct.

2022 has the schedule for Frost to have a 6 or 7 win season. If Frost can't get to a .500 or better season next year he will be gone.

Oh, definitely out if doesn't make a bowl. Dude should be fired if he doesn't start 3-0.

I see a lose for either the ND State game or Southern GA game

It’s North Dakota (not State) and if we lose to an FCS team we might as well just forfeit rest of season. Georgia Southern is 3-8 this year... again just forfeit rest of season if lose it.

Great, I'm glad they have scheduled the lesser North Dakota college team. That is a way to build confidence, 2022 should be a great year.

So, who's the OC hire? Need one in place to get recruiting asap.
