For the first time since my children have existed, we're about 97% done with shopping/wrapping heading into the week before Christmas.Looks like some of you jokers got even more time off than the rest of the class.
Baked some cookies this weekend, and got together with my parents and my sister as well. Need to start wrapping gifts after we put the kids to bed so we're not doing it on Christmas Eve.
bragging about my mediocre excel skills gets the ladies steaming
I have wrapped most of my gifts...For the first time since my children have existed, we're about 97% done with shopping/wrapping heading into the week before Christmas.
I did some late night wrapping over the weekend, and Mrs Redfoot wrapped like mad last night.
Normally, I'm up all night this whole week, wrapping gifts and assembling doll houses and shit. Gonna be nice to coast in this year.
My last two workouts of the year are Wed and Fri mornings, and then it's party time.
That's a nice gift.I have wrapped most of my gifts...
I am trying to figure out how to wrap the Yeti cooler I got my sister and BIL. Tried on of those big reusable bags for it, but it doesn't fit...so wrapping paper...I guess

Are you the third kid or are you adding another to the crew? We're thinking about getting a set with a bench when we replace the set we currently have. Think it would help get more bodies around the table, especially if three kids can sit on it.
Mr. Kobe built our dining table. Bench on each side and then we bought 2 chairs for each end.Was basically going to be my plan, get a square table, have 4 seats always accessible, have the bench stored under the table against the wall, and 2 extra chairs for when we have 8 people for dinner.
You are a saintThe first round of holiday guests arrive today. Four additional souls wandering around my house, eating my food and drinking my liquor. Four more tomorrow.
Well that’s one way to ruin an evening. Dumb fuckers. So, we helped a homeless couple find a "warm place" to stay on Saturday.
Son had to work an extra shift, came by after it was over to pick up his dog. We were on the stairway landing and I had a view through the front door window to the street. I saw a couple walk by on the sidewalk, looked a little closer to see if it was someone we knew. Nope. A couple second later, I see the woman backtrack and creep up our driveway. "Hey, it looks like someone lost their dog" says I, and proceed to head out to help. About that time I see Son's truck backing out of the driveway. (He'd left it idling). WTF!
Call 911, son gives a description of the truck, I describe the couple. Go over to the next door neighbor, who is a retired police detective, and wait for dispatch to send a car over. He outlines what thieves typically do after jacking a car, and it's not good.
15 minutes later my phone rings (Son's phone was in his truck) and the police have found the vehicle and arrested the miscreants. Apparently one of the patrolmen was in the exact right area when the call came over his radio and Son's description of a Captain America emblem on his truck hitch sealed the deal. The were stopped in a Win-Co parking lot. The woman who was driving said she was a former co-worker of my son's (lie) and had no idea where his phone had gone (lie). We found his phone on the street along the route they had taken after the deed. Asked why they did it, the woman said they were just looking for transportation to a warm place to get out of the cold.
So, as it turns out...they did find a "warm place" to spend the night. Merry Christmas.
