Have to cancel our Christmas Eve party.

I don't think it's necessarily being reported as a "spike". But there sure seem to be a lot of vaccinated folks who are catching it. I dont know what qualifies as a spike, but since we are talking about vaccinated people, I doubt it would be reported as such anyway.

I get people questioning it. The narrative around it keeps changing.

First, it was 2 weeks to flatten the curve, that stretched into nearly 2 years and forced a lot of businesses to close and cost a lot of folks their jobs, then, it was a 1 shot vaccine that became a 2 shot vaccine that became a 2 shots and a booster vaccine that now has some saying we will need yearly boosters but could become every 6 months boosters. Masks work, then masks dont work, then they work again but you still need to stay 6 feet apart because they dont work as well as we thought.

and the excuse given is "Well, we're learning new things and we're adapting as things change with this virus". That sounds a helluva lot like "We have no idea what this thing is going to do.,..but hey, here's this new, relatively untested vaccine that we want to inject into you and that may not prevent you from getting it or infecting someone else. But if that happens you might not get it as bad and might not die...but some of you will still get really sick and some of you will still die."

Meanwhile, we are told to listen to doctors and scientists, but only certain doctors and scientists. Some of the same doctors and nurses who, for nearly 2 years, were working on the frontlines during the worst parts of the pandemic and were called heroes for their efforts are now losing their jobs, being ridiculed and called crazy, quacks and Trumptards by folks with no medical training whatsoever because they have their own doubts about the vaccines.

I saw an exchange on here where someone was pondering the vaccine, someone else said they should talk to their doctor. When the poster said that he did and that his doctor had concerns about the vaccine was told...well your doctor is a moron.

All over a virus with a 99% survival rate.

But yeah, no one is supposed to question anything.
Just trust me….you and I agree a lot on this.

I wasn’t so much responding to it being a spike….but more to understand what we are basing this on. I’ve gotten the argument many times, and it’s usually based on cases. I get it, we were misinformed on the vaccine up front. Get over it.

The vaccine in play has made it less about cases, and more about outcomes. And the outcomes of vaccinated vs unvaccinated has been staggering. Yeah, it’s not perfect, but it’s making getting the disease less of an issue for most.

I don’t question it’s effectiveness, I question is application. It’s being way too widely administered. Full stop.

And all of that ties back into the official response and narrative on this thing. I feel like I’m starting to see a growing consensus with more logical thinking going on. Not with the “officials” or the elite, but with people in general. At least I’m hoping.

Dowhat?

You must have missed the part of his post where this thing had a 99% survival rate from the get go. Now it’s mutating into a variant that is far far far less deadly, even to non vaccinated people.

But let’s cheer the “95% effective” vaccine until it isn’t. The “you can’t catch Covid” vaccine until you can. The “you can’t transmit Covid” vaccine until you do. The “it makes symptoms not so bad” vaccine until you still die. Then when all this stuff happens we can just lefty our way out of it with “well we know more now, but you’re still an anti vax Trumpyfuck if you don’t get vaccinated “.

lol.

At the end of the day. I wish my penis was bigger

i think Joe is GREAT! He’s very entertaining. But that’s all he is… an entertainer. He’s made this COVID thing personal given what CNN said about him and honestly, I dont blame him. It has clouded his judgement though. Also, he LOVES all conspiracy theories. While he is no longer saying that we absolutely faked the moon landings he’s still not admitting that we went there. That doctor should have never gotten ANY air time. He was total nonsense.

I know you aren’t on the PF but @Blackshirts BLVD was on there touting what that idiot said and when I asked him multiple times to tell me what that quack said that was so compelling he just ran away without saying one thing.

These conspiracy guys love to push their bullshit but they are short on specifics. They just weave a story (and thats all it is… a story) out of nothing and simpletons just accept it. I love Joe but I’m not taking medical advice from a guy who’s resume is hosted Fear Factor, does color commentary for UFC fights and is a stand up comedian.
Ran away?

Not that you need to know, but I was doing some last minute holiday shit and then my father went and had 2 strokes. Sorry I didn't respond right away to your pathetic condescending self.

sorry to hear about your dad but we were literally having a back and forth where you dodged my question several times. You actually had time to type a few dodging responses but not answer my question? Not sure if that’s when you were shopping or dealing with your dad.

I have heard of breakthrough cases. Cases.
The USS Milwaukee canceled a deployment because the 100% vaccinated crew had an outbreak. This after the mandate forced out sailors that would not vaccinate because they were in danger of getting and spreading the virus ... we are in agreement on the value, or lack thereof, of using cases as a metric.

It’s really fucking weird, I get it. I saw the headline on this. I didn’t read it as I expected it to be nonsensical shit like this. Similar to vaccinated athletes being quarantined for testing positive.

This plays into my position though….instances like these don’t prove the shots aren’t effective….they just prove that the public health positions are draconian and aren’t based in a place of logic at all.

1. "Instances like this" are occurring everywhere, in every walk of life after this "vaccine". These aren't outliers. They aren't BREAKTHROUGHS.

2. And it doesn't prove the shots aren't effective even though the shot isn't doing what it was promised to do at the rate it was sold as doing?

I get that you're trying to be the "pragmatic lefty guy", but if you're going to be that guy, you've gotta at least attempt to be impartial and read up on the other side. You're completely ignoring reality that the variants are getting progressively weaker, the vaccine isn't being more "effective". Old and unhealthy people are still dying, healthy people are still doing fine and there are the statistical anomalies where old people are kicking it's ass and "healthy" people are kicking the bucket. Nothing has changed.

Awwww….you were lied to. Buck up, princess. I don’t know what else to tell you at this point.

Or better yet….just leave it at the vaccine isn’t something you can trust. I’m not part of the “shame the unvaccinated crowd”. I’m cool with it.

I’m not pointing this directly at you, because I can’t go back and look for it, but I recall many dissenters of the vaccine point out that it’s a disease with a 99% survival rate at worst….why are we caring about cases….etc.

Now you want to rail about BREAKTHROUGH cases. Can’t have it both ways.

Are you still watching CNN and grimacing all day? Seriously, stop. It’s horrible for ones mental health.

You're all over the board, you need to upgrade that pragmatic lefty software. You're posting on and on about how the vaccine is "effective" and outcomes are different and shit, but then in your first sentence play the trolly "Awwww Fauci lied about the vaccine" thing.

Your posts are usually pretty logical, but you're being either intentionally trolly (which I wouldn't expect from you) or willfully ignorant and spouting the lefty narrative with no research.

We agree on all points made. Public policy never shifted from herd immunity through vaccination.

I didn’t read it as I expected it to be nonsensical shit like this.

And this is part of the problem I addressed in post #500. Too many people don't want to read certain articles because based on the headline they "knew it would be nonsensical shit like this" which most of the time simply means..."doesn't agree with my opinion".

Actually, you can have it both ways as these are different concerns/questions.

The most amusing part about this site specifically, is that it's a sports site.

All of the sports leagues are like, what...97% "vaccinated"?

Yet it seems like a third of the athletes across all sports right now are on "covid lists"

OE is living in a world where he still thinks that a third of people testing positive (at the same time) is somehow a BREAKTHROUGH.

That's not a "breakthrough", it's a fucking failure.
