Food Places you liked that went out of business

How about Shakey's pizza. Pizza was great and you could watch them throwing the dough around. Loved the balloons and arcade.

Shakeys is still around, but it looks like all but 3 are in Southern California. 1 in Northern California and 2 in Washington.

speakin of pizza,
does anyone remember an old pizza place back in the 70s,
which had a small theatre
where you could watch old b&w movies
and old school cartoons?

Ate at Ponderosa earlier in the fall. Was as great as ever.
When they went to buffets it was the best hangover cure in college. One of my roommates would order a menu item and then ask for a to go box. He then loaded it with buffet items and ate his meal. Took the rest home.

I remember some of that now. Saw some of the Our Gang shorts and some Laurel & Hardy. That didn't last too long, and was early in my going there. 73-74?

We went for Wing Night when I was in college a lot. Steak Tips were the cheapest thing on the menu I think.
