They need to stay fit unlike the whole qualifying period. The top 6 or 7 players can’t keep getting hurt because the talent level is still thin. Also need to find someone to be a striker and maybe a goaltender. I
am not confident in Steffen.

Question: is this team better now than 8 or 9 months ago? Not sure. If they had not gotten that tie in Mexico they would be playing New Zealand (err....... Trinidad and Tobago) in a one off. They are in but by the thinnest of margins. Tomorrow we will their Group in the World Cup.
I mean, this cycle they were missing some of their best players. They didn't play well last night, but they were closer to winning rather than losing that game in Mexico. If they won that game, we wouldn't have cared a bit about this game, and it could have been 11 guys getting their first cap.
They made things tougher than they had to be, certainly. And I'm not here to sing Berhalter's praises. Won't be sad when he's axed. But they're back in the WC, and it's a huge step for a young group of players.

Haven't seen him on a US roster since '17, I don't think. Got cut by Dallas a couple years ago for a DV incident.

They need a goaltender. Steffen is not that good. Was slow to react on first goal when it was headed right to him. Very nervy goaltending from him in all 3 games. Plus none are getting any playing time at clubs. Steffen absolutely has to be loaned from Man City this summer.
Steffen is playing because Turner was hurt. Turner's the 1, and hopefully with the change to Arsenal, he keeps improving.

Turner won’t play that much. He will play Cups like Steffen. Number 1 at Arsenal is Aaron Ramsdale. Not sure why Turner chose Arsenal to be honest.

Not sure how they are grouping these these teams in pots. Germany in pot 2 with USA so they won’t be in same group but possible Germany gets into a group of death being in pot 2 or they get Qatar. Netherlands in pot 2 also. Portugal in pot 1 even though they got in by playoff.

Canada in pot 4? Wtf. But how about this draw for you and I? Qatar, Germany, Iran, Canada in a group.
FIFA rankings don't really care how you qualified. Canada finished tops in CONCACAF qualification, and is in Pot 4 because they're currently 38th in the world.
