This is a cold war between UT and aggy, which will actually have a winner on the field head to head soon. Which is why I laugh when people swear that UT now being in the SEC won't get any preferential treatment or change things.

Everyone loves money, the SEC CCG will get alternated with Jerry World or Reliant stadium in the coming years.

As y'all can see, when both programs are wanting to compete.. the money is second to none..

Hopefully we have the right coaches to steer this thing the direction both schools want lol

Honest question, do you see Nebraska competing in this national landscape? I know that's what we want to think as fans, but realistically looking at it I can't make an argument that Nebraska is going to do it any time remotely soon. I think the difference between Nebraska and teams like Michigan, Tennessee, Penn State, USC, Texas...ect is that even though all have had periods of being bad recently, they still are all able to pull in top 10 classes regularly (and were even while bad). So it's more just waiting for the right combination of things to hit. I went back to 2012 in the 247 rankings, Nebraska has a single top 20 class in that span and it came in at just #17. That doesn't scream of a team who's going to work it's way back in any time soon.

So do you think A&M and Jexas should be in different divisions but a guaranteed annual game? That would put forward the option of A&M vs Texas in a SECCG one day, which the tickets could be priced as high as anyone wants and it will get paid. Also would give the option to have them play 2x in a season. LOTS has to change about both programs I know to get to that point, but if revenue generating is the ultimate goal then that would do it.

Tennessee 22 class 18th, 21- 22nd, 20, 11th, 19-13th, 2018-21st, 2017- 17th, 2016-14th, so they are getting top 20, not 10 talent and are still bad.

11th, 13th, 14th....those are all pretty good classes for continuously sucking. ALL of them are higher than Nebraska's best ranked class in the last decade.

I think they will go through with the pod system.. and we play annually no matter what. I think the one I saw had y'all with LSU, Ole Miss and MS. UT was with Mizzu, Ark and ou.

I just wonder if they make the 4 pods, and place two of them as the East and two as the West. Top schools from each side regardless of record/ranking play in the CCG.

West
Pod1: UT, ou, ark, mizzu
Pod2: lsu, aggy, ole, msu

East
Pod1: Bama, tn, au, Vandy
Pod 2: uga, uf, sce, ky

U have to keep the pods so there's better mixture with quicker showdowns than what's happening now with 14 schools.

But as you can see in the headlines, they are hungry enough and willing enough to pay. They got Nico and now are giving him weapons. The state just allowed the coaches to tell NIL companies WHO to get for them.

no different if they cant coach them or compete with the other teams around them. he will so somewhere else by 2023

yeah but again, the want is there.. you don't see this at other schools that have had multiple championships 30 years ago or longer

thats because you dont know about nebraska, you dont need top 10 classes to become relevant you need coaches that can develop always has been the case

Maybe not in the 90's. But I think that argument doesn't hold up today. Name me a successful program this century with any kind of continued success nationally that didn't recruit top 15 classes consistently?

keep moving them goal posts lol you said top 10 then you looked up from your crack pipe and saw clempsun starin at ya.

it will always come down to development, yes you can get players who are already more developed out of highschool but that doesnt matter. nebraska gets relevant and we got the $$ to recruit higher classes it isnt important to recruit top 10 right this second.

Plus anything Michigan can do Nebraska can do better

Clemson pulls in top 10 classes? Of the schools I listed I think Tennessee is the only one who hasn’t and they came extremely close. Yes. You have to develop players but If you don’t get top talent your team success is still capped.

Not a huge alumni base, in a state with a lot of talent but two other major schools who have been more successful recently and a nation that recruits the state's talent. Miami also has horrible facilities and support from the school itself.
