1-1 Winsday

Anybody see the kid from Sioux Falls pitching in the little league world series? Through State, Regionals, and the LLWS he has thrown something like 570 pitches and so far allowed one hit. In the Regionals he had a no hitter and a perfect game. The only reason he didn't have two perfect games was because of an error. He also hit a three run homer in the 3-0 win over Oregon in their second game in the LLWS after starting a combined no hitter in the first game against Louisiana (Southwest champs).

He throws 75 which is very impressive for a 12 year old obviously, but his slider looks almost pro level. I'm guessing his arm will fall off before college, but it's pretty fun to watch right now.
I saw some of that.

I also heard a stat that starting with the State Tourney, the Michigan team had outscored it's opponents something like 92-9.

Man. Hearing everyone's stories about married life truly makes me thankful that I am not married
The advantages outweigh the disadvantages

the advantages don't drive content on a message board though

The thing about being married is sometimes you have to put someone else ahead of yourself. And for the suckers that have kids, you might have to put the needs of 2-3-4 people ahead of you.

This.

I dislike strip clubs. Only been to three in my life.

If a broad has an issue with you going to one for a bachelor party, that betrays some fairly serious trust issues. What does she expect you to do? "sorry guys, I'm gonna wait in the car."
That’s a thought I’m having on this. Trust issues come up in these moments. And they might not even be specific trust issues with you that she has. We are a collection of our experiences in life. Maybe an ex screwed up before. Or hell, an ex of a friend.

That’s where I would be making my position …what have I done in the past to severely create this trust issue? Nothing. Ok. So it’s triggering of some other experience. I can’t be anything like that guy or you wouldn’t be with me.

Or maybe it all boils down to being so anti strip club. I get it. I am not a fan myself and only went a few times when I was just old enough. But, you can’t be expected to make a principled stance on such a thing at that moment and in that group.

Nobody likes that fucking guy…..

I guess there are advantages to being married, but you are correct you do have to put someone else ahead of yourself from time to time.. I'll stick with being a god parent and hanging out with my niece and nephew instead of having kids. Though the thought might change if I find the right woman

When's their next game? Mom's been following them closely as she grew up in S.D. and most of her relatives are still there. Plus, some of the best memories of her life were when her son played...

There was a guy who was a year ahead of me, from a town about 20 minutes north of where I grew up. Kid was a big deal when I was 11-12, he pitched his teams to the LLWS when he was 12 and I think the 13-year old WS the next year. By the time he got to high school, his arm was completely shot, and he could only play 2B. Was still good enough a hitter to get a full ride at Rutgers, and was an all-conference player there. Couldn't get a sniff of pro ball because his arm was barely strong enough to turn a double play.

I brought back a beer she'd like... So, sort of?

What else am I going to "buy" out there? Used syringe... Bullet casings?
I don't think you are giving Portland a fair shake there

I couldn't have counted all the tents using all of our (in this thread) fingers and toes.

Yeah, the homeless stuff was a bit much when we were there (and I've heard it's worse), but you didn't bring your future wife back Voodoo Donuts?
