Got Byrd

#7th ranked class now with just 16 commits. Not too shabby.

Michigan picks up top 50 RB Donovan Edwards.

Nice offensive haul all things considered with Harbaugh and all. #44 nationally RB, #22 nationally QB. If we can hold onto top 100 WR Xavier Worthy, who visited bama recently, that will be a nice trio of recruits.

Apparently the highest ranked RB we've gotten in the 247 sports era.

He must have been swayed by all the RB's Michigan has had drafted in the last decade and a half.

As opposed to all the great Michigan NFL RB's of the past 50 years?

I guess that's true, but at least you guys had a decent track record in the 90's and early 2000's. I mean for real, not one RB drafted since that douchebag Mike Hart?

Most Michigan comment ever
One of our biggest flaws spanning back to Bo, is the inability to develop NFL RB's. We seem to produce a decent number of QB's (at least in the last 50 years) but our RB's just never pan out. Meanwhile, in the last decade MSU, Wisc, PSU and OSU have all produced at least one elite NFL back.

Only guys I can think of are Jamie Morris and Wheatley. So like one in the 80's and one in the 90's.

Damn do you follow Michigan football. No Biakabutka(sp) or the A-train?

Totally forgot about Thomas. Biakabutuka was as good of an NFL RB as Mike Hart or Chris Perry were.

Yeah I get that, but at least he was good enough to be a 1st rounder.

Well. Seems like more good news for Michigan. We held Bama off for our last top offensive commit of the day, Xavier Worthy signed with us moments ago. Looks like this is how the class is going to finish for the day. But overall pretty darn good considering all that's been going on with Harbaugh:

With JJ McCarthy (22), Donovan Edwards (44), Xavier Worthy (76), Giovanni El-Hadi (85) and Junior Colson (95) now officially part of the class, Michigan has signed more top-100 signees in this class (5) than it did in its previous three classes combined (3).
