I realize Nebraska controls it's own destiny in the Big 10 Standings to finish somewhere in the Top 5 by winning out.

i.e. Even #11 Maryland could finish ahead of Nebraska at (10-10) if they win out and Nebraska loses out (10-10). That is because Maryland owns the first tiebreaker with head-to-head.
Same can be said for #7 Iowa if they win out (11-9) and Nebraska loses two (11-9). Iowa owns the first tie-breaker.

That being said... Go Terps and Go Goofers.

#3 Northwestern (10-6)
@ #11 Maryland (7-10)

#8 Minnesota (8-8)
@ #2 Illinois (11-5)

Purdue winning out would be good for the Huskers as well.

Huskers got no help on the leader board tonight.

However, Maryland's loss eliminates them from any Top 5 contention.

I ain't buying any of that until it happens. Bracketology is fluid anyway. It's forward looking based on the "IF" this or that premise.

The peeps on BTN are saying "Nebraska's likely in, but they don't have any quality wins remaining and they have to avoid a bad loss." Ohio St (on the road) would be a Quad 1 win though.

I'm simply focused on finishing in the Top 5 of the Big 10 because most things say the Big 10 is sure to get 5 teams into the tournament, possibly 6.
Nebraska doesn't have the Izzo factor if they were to finish 6th like Sparty does. Even though Nebraska beat Sparty.

Nebraska could still finish as low as 8th in the Big 10 standings.

#9 Penn St and #10 Indiana could even tie them, but Nebraska owns the head-to-head over both of them for Big 10 Tournament seeding.

I ain't counting any chickens before they hatch.

To be assured of a Top 5 finish, Nebraska NEEDS to win 2 out of 3 and root for Purdue to run the table.

The normal sloppy, no energy road team early in this game. Hoiberg needs to light a damn fire under them.

Wilcher, Lawrence, and Hoiberg bringing some energy and scoring off the bench.
