Nebraska Cornhuskers 2023/2024 Nebrasketball

Key words there.
Believe Angels In The Outfield GIF

Huskers up 12 at half. Too many damn turnovers though. Could lead by more

Since we have head to head over Michigan State and Minnesota, a win puts us between #3 and #6?

Key words there.

It happened. :beer2:

7 days off followed by (as of now) 5 days off. Rest is great but keeping the rust off seems like it would be a challenge in that scenario. Hopefully the coaches have the right plan.

Not pointing fingers here, but some of us were “Done with Hoiberg”. Have we changed our mind’s thus far?

A couple of key games tonight.

#3 Northwestern
#8 Michigan St
6pm (CT) BTN

#9 Indiana
#7 Minnesota
8pm (CT) BTN

Michigan St's the only one Nebraska actually needs to win for the Huskers to get a shot at finishing #3.

#4 Nebraska owns the tie-breakers over #3 Northwestern, #5 Wisconsin, #7 Minnesota, and #8 Michigan St.

#6 Iowa owns the tiebreaker over Nebraska, so the Huskers will need to win @ #14 Michigan or have #2 Illinois win @ Iowa.

I'm happy with the team's results this season. But, is this year a one off, or can he improve next year? He loses a lot.

This true?

"I’m being told if Wisconsin beats Purdue on the road on Purdue’s Senior day that they would have the tiebreaker over us."

No. That's false.

Nebraska is (1-0) vs Wisconsin.

If Wisconsin beats Purdue then they will be (1-1) against them.

(1-0) > (1-1)

i.e. Nebraska did not lose to Purdue.

^^ The proof in that ^^

Like Wisconsin, Nebraska and Northwestern split their home and away.

Nebraska beat Purdue (1-0).
Like Wisconsin..... Northwestern split with Purdue (1-1)

(1-0) > (1-1)

That is why Nebraska is now 3rd in the Big 10 standings.

First tiebreaker is between tied teams so I think the tweet was correct as Wisconsin would have best record between tied teams. (Assuming everyone won out). Looks correct according to possible scenarios too. So just need to win and Purdue beat Wisconsin
Nebraska is 2-2 (split vs both)
Wisconsin is 2-1 (split vs Nebraska, 1-0 vs NW)
Northwestern 1-2 (split vs Nebraska, 0-1 vs Wisconsin)

First tiebreaker is head-to-head. Cut and dried, simple as that. Nebraska and Wisconsin split (1-1).
Therefore it goes to the 2nd tiebreaker...... "Each teams record vs the team occupying the highest position (i.e. Purdue).

Nebraska is (1-0) vs Purdue. Wisconsin is (1-1) vs Purdue.
(1-0) > (1-1)
