GAME 2023 B12 CCG: #18 OKST vs #7 TEXAS • 11CT • ABC

FSU has to lose. They aren't pulling the trigger on leaving a undefeated P5 out for a 1 loss one. They don't have the balls.

If it’s still really about “the four best” teams like it’s been promoted in the past, then FSU is out.

We all know it's not

Same with them keeping the illusion that they don't "project"

What's the fucking point in having Ohio State ranked ahead of Texas if you're just gonna jump Texas over us the second they win the Big 12 title game? It's all fucking stupid.

Hopefully our bowl game against you guys is in the horseshoe so we know we will win

Oregon has beaten Ohio State 1 time ever in 10 tries, congratulations. They also have lost a national title game and a rose bowl to Ohio State in the last 15 years.

eh

to be fair thats with Texas not being conf champs

Now they are.

They won't drop FSU because they don't want to hear the backlash about leaving a undefeated P5 out for a 1 loss one.

They could absolutely do it, but they won't.

I'd totally agree with it if they did do it, FSU clearly is not a top 4 team without Travis.

SEC SEC SEC time yet?

It should never be about the four "best" teams. When you don't regulate the recruiting, the schedule, etc... there is no objective way to determine who the "best" is. Especially when you preseason rank and attribute 'ranked wins' to teams that finish unranked and/or with 5+ losses.

It should ALWAYS be the "four most deserving". Full stop.

How does one determine who is “most deserving”?

Exactly. They can morph whoever they want within some kind of reason into "ONE OF THE BEST 4!" there's no really objective way to go about it.

Preseason rankings do still set the tone, no matter how much people want to claim "THEY DONT MEAN ANYTHING!".

Getting rid of preseason rankings all together and not ranking anyone at all until like week 8 would help things out in this regard. But that will never happen.

Goddamn defense. You fucking up my predict

49-21
Oklahoma State team who lost a combined 88-10 to South Alabama and UCF. texas given up more points to Osu then those scrubs.
