2023 season thread

No penalty for Cindric, which is good. I mean, it was terrible driving and one of the most annoying wrecks I can recall, but suspending a driver over a wreck like that would have opened up a big can of worms that needs to stay closed

Kevin Harvick at a 3.5 race lead in points on the next closest SHR driver before the Briscoe penalty. Pretty bad when a 47 year old driver on his retirement tour could miss 3 full races, another SHR driver score max points in all 3 races and still be well behind Harvick in points.
what did Harvick do?

oh. I thought you were saying he was getting suspended or something.
Nah, Briscoe had a major penalty that took a lot of points, but even before that Harvick was still up 3.5 races on him in points, more than that now obviously

Noah Gragson out Sunday. Grant Enfinger filling in.

Boy, everything Jimmie Johnson has touched since like 2018 has turned to complete shit. Took a promising first year team last year to worse than Spire this year, with the 42 below the RWR cars in owner points

Man, old Hard R Larson had the choke of all chokes in the Busch race last night. Good for Almirola though

That was such a cheap as caution. Tire gets away on an empty pit road. Manufactured drama

This has been one of the cleanest road course races NASCAR has ever had, but we all know there’s gonna be a questionable caution with around 5 to go, and then it’ll turn into dive bomb city and it’ll take 3 attempts at a GWC.

Hopefully Buescher is the benefactor, but I hope it just goes green and Truex can get the win he deserves

Well, at least that caution was legit. Suspension had to have broke, he didn’t just lose it on the straight

Lots of "mistakes" suddenly being made

I like Reddicks move.
Even with the penalty I look at it as a gain. Vs. driving the whole course cripplingly slow.

It definitely saved a caution, but it was still a net gain from having to limp it all the way back around, and potentially tearing up the car along the way.

I was happy. I had Suarez in my season long pool this week, and Reddick was by far the most popular pick, so I’ll maintain my 4th place spot in the standings despite Suarez’s 22nd place run.

Fucker in first is ahead by a mile and had Kyle Busch, I’m just trying for second place at this point, which is in reach
