2024 Recruiting Thread

@Thiefery hopes so

One of these days Texas is going to make it into the Top 50 of the 2024 team recruiting rankings.

apparently there were multiple commitments over this weekend..including Simmons (allegedly). Not sure what LSU did but they are behind now.. We'll start seeing more commitments over the next month heading towards the pool party weekend late July. We are on commit watch now.. probably Cruz (IOL)

BTW Rivals released their top 250 for the class of '25..

Texas is going to have a terrific class based on how loaded TX is for that cycle.. You can already see the battling for Sanchez (CB, North Shore).. and Moore (WR, Duncanville) is the best WR prospect since Roy WIlliams

From what I read he projects to play Safety in college.
Maybe the OU Roy Williams then.

Big boom, and it brings us up to the 2 spot in team rankings. Overly optimistic michigan fans in shambles.

Lol they were CERTAIN they were going to swoop West and Scott early last week. Tons of talk of how they were both going to visit Michigan together and Michigan was putting the full court pressure on and were going to get them both to cancel their Ohio State visits. Now "oh big deal he was going to Ohio State anyway we all knew that" :pound:

Scott still might not end up at Ohio State (though it looks good) but it would probably be Oregon if it's not us

how do y'all feel about Brandon Baker? He OV us but I don't think we are that high up on his current favorite list.. my tosu friend really thinks he ends up there but doesn't his brother play for y'all right now?

We probably have a decent shot but i'm never overly optimistic on guys like this. We tend to miss on the very high profile out of state olinemen. Also our track record with Mater Dei players is pretty poor as well.

that would make him a LB.. that guy is too slow for today's game
Bro they changed the rules because of him. He was chasing guys down and they were getting hurt when he caught them because he was pulling them down from the collar.

he wasn't catching up to them.. he was grasping at anything.. which happened to be the neck collar

Xavier Robinson to OU. 6'2" 220 averaged 9.4 yards per carry and 185 yards per game last year.

low 3* Kid?

HS stats are meaningless considering he was still probably by far the most gifted kid on the field at all times.
5A ball but at a powerhouse school in Oklahoma. He was a Notre Dame lean early on. He's being compared to Rhomandre Stevenson who was a 3 star and now starts for the NE Patriots.

Bigger than that though Robinson’s commitment also helps the Sooners on the recruiting trail. The dynamic runner is close with several other prospects from Oklahoma that the Sooners are recruiting heavily. He is now joined at Carl Albert by Oklahoma’s 2025 QB commit, Kevin Sperry.

Sperry transferred to Carl Albert earlier this month to give Oklahoma’s reigning 5A champions an elite passer to go along with their dynamic rushing attack led by Robinson.

With Robinson and Sperry committed, both can help recruit some of the other highly talented players on Carl Albert’s roster that look to be Power Five talents themselves; Trynae Washington (2025), Trystan Haynes (2025), and Marcus James (2025).

That's a lot of words for a jag 👀

Well Quentin Griffin was a 3 star and he scored 6 touchdowns vs texas in a single game. Caden Durham is down to OU and Lsu and Taylor Tatum has it between OU and Usc so DeMarco still has work to do.

😂 😂 😂 Ah yes this guy is Griffin for sure 😂 😂 😂

Demarco sucks balls.. Even if Tatum commits.. It's a tradition like no other... When he flips like all the other elite RBs y'all have had recently

No surprise there. I assume Rhule knows quite a few of them from his time at Baylor.

What's more interesting to me is why do his and Dr Susan Elza's jackets look like VT colors?
They're wearing black
