2024 Recruiting Thread

I thought Deion said no NIL bags were gonna be given out by Colorado to recruits? lol.

No way a kid like this makes that decision without some crazy money promise.

They out bagged Tennessee. Lol! Let's see if the check clears first though

Losing out to schools like Georgia, Bama, Texas, etc for these types of kids can be tough, but this kid might honestly be retarded so I'm not too upset.

Yea it sucks losing out on guys like him and Scott. But it's not as bad since they are taking the money bag to go to dead ends like Colorado and Miami where we won't ever have to worry about competing against them for anything.

lol he was never coming to UT

I believe it wasn't too long ago that this kid said Oregon was his dream school. Also, since this kid comes from the DMV area, the relatively close-to-home Knoxville, TN was supposedly one of his top choices.

So I guess he goes from a dream to a nightmare for more NIL $$$

Tennessee was pretty much the "insider" consensus basically until he announced. Colorado came swinging the heaviest bag for sure

I'd say there's at least a 50% chance that he doesn't sign with Colorado

Deion on a roll now

Condolences to @fordman84

I was wrong.. I thought Elko was going to be the safe hire but it's been the total opposite.. that 11 mil for staff was false the way he's hiring.. They have an interim coach who the players love, who already accepted the Syracuse DC job.. and is coaching them for the bowl game.. meanwhile their DL guys are hitting the portal with one of them already getting picks to go to...syracuse.. lol

There is no excitement

Hey @Thiefery, blow me -

Rivals is still saying it's unlikely. On3 hasn't really weighed in.

The interesting thing is that they are saying it's because Beck may come back. That means he assumed he would start as a freshman. That was never going to happen. We have Gunnar Stockton who be in his 3rd year of the program. And, Beck was only going to be a one-and-done if he played out of his mind and led the Dawgs to the nattie. He still may go, but evidently leaning toward staying. Still, Raiola was never going to start at UGA as a freshman.

Odd thing is that Nebraska seems to be somewhat favored for the tOSU QB who would start over Raiola if for no other reason that he has a year of play.

LOL Carson Beck will be QB1 and this spoiled kid with his entitled dad took their ball and left, again.

3 high schools, 3 different states.. How many commitments now?

Atleast you see the light now

The word coming out is that is pure NIL. Makes sense. We are going to see a lot of this in the next 10 days. This is the eBay auction strategy. Wait until the end before you make your big offer.

My guess from what I have read is that he got a big offer from Nebraska, and asked UGA to up theirs. UGA won't do that as it just isn't their strategy. They certainly pay NIL to kids coming in, but we aren't close to being top and we won't spend for one guy. We preserve the NIL mostly for proven players on the roster, plus the transfer portal.

Candidly, him at Nebraska is fine ... B1G not SEC. I can live with that. We likely have Beck coming back, Stockton, then we will be able to be in the running for JuJu Lewis.

Not a done deal yet, so we will see.

Oh, yeah, fuck you!
