2025 Recruiting Thread



rumor is that he will be reclassifying to the '25 class.. won't be a midterm (January) enrollee, but would arrive next June

Does appear to be a surprise from the UGA recruiting experts. They aren't sure why, but there really wasn't a connection between him and UGA. Not saying he wasn't a take, or that they did or didn't want him. But one analyst talked to him 2 weeks ago and concluded TX, and that Zelus said there wasn't a lot of communication with UGA. I can tell you he has the physical measurements that Kirby loves in a saftey.

honestly i never heard of him either.. but i haven't been following too many players outside the OL/DL and RBs for '26..

3 days ago our $9.95ers mentioned him but didn't really know much outside him visiting in the spring, but not getting an offer.. then the safety's coach was on the rd in GA..saw him and offered him.. made an OV in June.

Other site mods put in their CBs/futurecasts yesterday on him and soon some of our insiders started to piggyback off that too
 
With rosters expanding to 105, there are going to be a lot of weird shit happening. For example, UGA is sending out a bunch of offers to 25 guys who would typically be Plan B guys. It's not like we don't have 5*/4* already committed at their position, but these are guys who are not rated as high but the coaches have high evals on them. In many cases, they have freaky measureables - speed, wingspan, height, etc. - and I think they hoping to use 10 or so of those expanded spots to land some guys who will develop or transfer out.

Fortunately, we've been really good at evals - think Stet, McConkey, Dan Jackson our starting S right now.

Supposedly has family in Texas and one 9.95er said he wouldn’t be surprised if the family moved to Texas. If true, probably a kid that was looking to get out of Georgia

That increased roster stuff is going to mean a lot more "flips" get called out, but aren't really impactful to the team losing them. Some lower 4* kid accepts an offer then realizes that right out of the gate there are 3-4 higher ranked players already ahead of them so they jump. Or some 5* joins late. In the old days the kid who flips probably wouldn't even have had an offer.

state of GA is ridiculously deep along the DL.. it's crazy.. there is a kid out of Grayson who is nationally ranked in the 700s.. but he's picked up nothing but big offers (Texas, Bama, LSU, etc)... Think y'all have like 3 or 4 players at DT who are ranked in the top 12 of DTs??

It's a good year in Georgia, period. It's why Kirby has hammered the state hard. That and I think he can compete better keeping people home, and not transferring so quickly if they are home.

States cycle like that.

This year, states in the top 100/250

GA -11/59
TX - 16/34
FL - 17/30
CA - 6/26
AL - 8/14
OH - 6/9
NC - 3/7
TN - 1/5

Atlanta area is producing more recruits, than any city. Georgia has become the new spot in recruiting (not that it was ever bad). The biggest thing is they have a lot of big boys. Going off memory, but something like 3 of 10 DL in the nation, 5 of the top 25, and 24 of the top 200.

Mbatchou kid. He is moving up fast. Really interesting kid. First year of football. He is a rotational player for Grayson. Gifted athleticism, but he is a total project. You don’t want to rely on him to play early, but you love him as a 3rd/4th DL take. Low floor and high ceiling kid

Yup, DL in GA is unreal this year. Those numbers are about right for DL. If you throw in Edge, it's even more.

UGA looks like it will get 4 of the top 10 Edge/DL
 
When can we get rid of the 24 thread and add a 26 thread? OU has already offered the #1 RB and #1 WR in this class with a great chance for DeMarco to land the #1 RB again. He's out of Frisco, TX
