2025 Recruiting Thread

I just find it hilarious that fans of other teams cry about Ohio State spending such and such on a roster when we aren;t even the biggest spenders in the B1G.
Facts about NIL don't matter, just rumor + hearsay + clickbait.

-Signed TAMU

4/5 star DL Jahkeem Stewart out of Louisiana has committed to USC.

Alford signed too, all we lost was Offord which was expected. So a very good day considering the disaster it coulda been

so you are back to being poor?

I think BiG fans are going to be tired of them and wish they never invited them.. It's not like many athletes are coming from the PNW.. hippies don't give birth to 6'5 310lb people on the regular on a diet of bermuda grass. But what they do have is a huge NIL budget spearheaded by a dying Billionaire who wants to buy a championship before he leaves this world.. So they are just picking and taking players from other areas, while not giving anything back.. $12 a ticket to see the BiG CCG this weekend?? Yikes

Let him have his moment, terrorist

it's not a top 10 class this year and it hurts more when you realize how many more teams in the same conference have better classes.. Not the Big12 anymore...
They actually have the top class based on the average rating of the rankings. They just don' have as many. That matters, or course, but they will do well in the portal to make up for the numbers.

We just had a top 100 player - RB - flip to FSU. Allegedly they dropped a huge bag and we didn't counter. He had been flirting with Auburn the last month, as well.

If we sign Justus, we will be the no. 1 class. If we don't, no. 2. I think we sign him, but I am good either way.

Now let's get some WRs from the portal.

*FLIP*

4 star S Alex Graham out of Michigan has flipped from Colorado to USC.

4 star LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng out of Virginia and playing in Florida at IMG has committed to Michigan.

3/4 star Edge Tobi Haastrup out of Texas/California/United Kingdom has committed to Oregon. Haastrup just only started playing American football in his Senior year.

You guys had the highest paid team in CFB this year. How are you not the biggest spender in the B1G? Do you hear any other team in CFB being talked about as the 20+ million dollar team?

I get being blind because we are your rival but look at the astronomical amount of money Oregon flung out for this recruiting class.

I'm sure Gabriel and guys like Evan Stewart got a pretty penny to go there as well.

The 20 million dollar thing is ridiculous anyway, that's the whole damn team's supposed combined NIL earnings. We did not go out spend 20 million dollars on transfers no matter how much dUMb fans want to try to spin it that way.

According to this. Oregon's roster was around 23 million

Yeah -- I guess I'm not used to them being in the B1G and I haven't put a ton of thought into them.

What I think is great is -- instead of the vast majority of 5 star recruits going to the same 4-5 teams -- I think their are 10 teams this year with at least 2 5 star recruits and 7 teams with a rating over 92.0 per recruit.

I can see why you don't like that, as you are one of the 4-5 teams who were collecting all the 5 star guys before NIL. As a Michigan fan -- I am all in on it now, because our school finally got out of the stone age and entered the fray.

ND grabbed Madden Faraimo. 4* LB that was projected to go to USC but didn’t even pull the trigger until today. Sent in his LOI about a minute before Freeman started his press conference. Everyone thought the class was done at 24. This makes 25 for the class and Freeman says that’s it for this class.
this was a surprise? we tried getting on him over the summer but even our $9.95ers said he's going to ND back then
It was never going to be a top 10 class for us this year with the low number.
6-6 in year 3 of an upgrade hire will do that
Fasusi to Oklahoma. BOOMER

lol he had to commit, twice??

Funny story about Hilson.. Texas and his family agreed over a month and a half ago.. then he takes trips to Syracruse and aggy.. who offer him more.. Texas still in it, Aggy offers even more.. Texas bows out, he's Aggys.. Aggy then flip Rodgers officially from Mizzu.. Mizzu is petty and pays him even more to come up there...

Not sure if this kid will be that good at Mizzu.. but his negotiating skills are elite.

It was actually. Most crystal balls had him staying out west and going to USC. Most of the ND recruiting sites had kinda written him off.

Freeman said they stayed on him the last few days as early as this morning he hadn’t committed.

He’s Jeremiah Owusu-Kormoah’s (Cleveland Browns LB) brother.
