Underwood's school is a "MSU school", but Michigan screwed up big time in his recruiting. His family couldn't stand our prior QB coach (the one that was fired for going into employees emails). It was to the point they wouldn't even visit the school.Word is Julien Lewis is beginning to look around.. currently a SC commit
Lewis is talking to Auburn, UGA
Wait isn't Underwood from Michigan or near it?? if he doesn't want to go there why would Sayin?
agreed. There’s two options, accept the times, or if you want less transferring you need to let schools pay players directly, they can sign a contract, if they want to transfer to a new school that schools needs to buy out the contract the same they would a coach.Sure, I agree. But the legal landscape will not let colleges continue not to pay the labor. When the sports weren't generating billions of dollars, no one cared. Getting an education and maybe going to the NFL for a few was worth plenty. But when coaches' salaries went through the roof, ADs were getting millions, and conferences were signing contracts worth 8 billion dollars, the idea that the labor would go unpaid was not only unethical and immoral, but it was illegal.
The answer is simple and complex at the same time. The simple part is to employ the student-athletes and then collectively bargain with them. If they are being paid and helped write and agree with the rules, then you have the guardrails you want because there is agreement, not something being forced on them. It's kind of hard to complain about something you agreed to and are getting paid for.
The complex part is how to make it work with Titel IX and other non-revenue-generating sports.
I don't know about that. Kids who thought they'd get to play and ended up sitting will take another dive into the portal. Kids looking for the next bigger NIL deal.and I think it’s unlikely we’ll see players bounce around more than what was previously allowed much.
I assure you that Georgia is just a surprise, only the other way. Like I said, my post above the story on, this is gonna be unbelievable. All of the moderators on your sites had given up. All of the moderators and owners of the sites of the Georgia side state were saying this is 99.9% done. I really can’t wait to hear the story.Wtf no way. Is this real? Lol
I was being sarcastic, trying to point out the silliness of itI don't know about that. Kids who thought they'd get to play and ended up sitting will take another dive into the portal. Kids looking for the next bigger NIL deal.
As long as this NIL thing keeps exploding bigger and bigger it's going to keep getting more crazy in the portal.
I don't blame the kids. There are plenty that are popular enough on their team to get some decent NIL that still won't make it to the NFL so get you some while you can. Get that paid education and line your pockets a bit while you are at it.
It's the system that is fucked, not the kids taking advantage of it.
And no @dhoey you can't have a draft. You cannot force kids to go to a school they don't want to. As long as football is tied directly to an education/school there will be no such thing.
The folks giving out the NIL deals need to get smarter about it and write it in the contract that if the kid leaves after 1 year their deal is less. Write incentives into it to entice them to stay through.
word is that Caleb and his parents really aren't fans of UGA.. I thought it was smoke from the $9.95er who talked about it on his show yesterday.. but I guess it really had some legsThe story on this is gonna be unreal. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen collectively all of the Georgia boards, all of the insiders say that this was absolutely a certain thing. They are all totally shocked and it sounds like this is something that happened like in the last 15 minutes.
We all know that recruiting is fluid, and I’ve seen some crazy shit over the years, but this really is something I’ve never seen where every insider and staff member on every single Georgia board had their sources telling them that it was a done deal.

I heard from a reliable source:This is what’s coming out:
Dad was for UGA. Mom had reservations. They picked UGA and started the enrollment, got the NIL contract, etc.
OSU comes in with double. No trolling IMO, just a much better last second offer.
