GAME #6 Ohio State(-3) @ #9 Notre Dame - 7:30 ET | NBC

I knew Day was going to call a run on that last play I’m still shocked it worked.
I was screaming there was no one on the left side of the Dline Prior to the timeout… then they come out in the exact sand defense after it

I like freeman but take a fucking half the distance penalty before I have 10 guys on the field for the last play

Another thing. Forcing day to use his timeouts means he doesn’t have one to save the 10 second runoff on that grounding call. That 3rd and 19 would have had 5 seconds left

I didn’t see a talent gap at all
Their offense is way more talented than our defense. They played their asses off but you got to put them in a position to win. It was two plays in a row they only had 10 on the field.

Skill positions yeah…. Nd’s o-line bullied them in the second half. I’ll take nd’s secondary. They were fantastic

The secondary for the most part played great. Morrison shut the best receiver in the country down. 40 NFL scouts liked what they saw. We get him for one more year.

They stopped them twice on 4th and short and almost a 3rd time.

That's not inferior.

It was just a really close game and they lost.

They always lose games like this. Still waiting for the big one.

Also, if OSU did the right thing and kicked the FG the first time they were 4th and goal, then they still win... and without having to sweat it.

They had so MANY chances but I can’t be disappointed with any big road win in a tough environment.

Ohio St really didn’t get any pressure and hasn’t all year long. It’s a big problem.
A Qb making his 4th start of his career vs a 6th year starter.
Basically a new OL. They held up well.
Harrison didn’t play well and then not 100% in the 2h.
Had 4 chances inside the 5. Ebguka dropped a TD. Henderson tripped for a walk-in TD.
Day playcall-reverse on 4th and inches.

All that and Mccord steps up big on the last drive. Hell of a win

No doubt in ny mind we'll have to take our medicine against someone this season, not counting Michigan. But thankfully it wasn't tonight

And yet he still barely got in

if Ryan Day had the qualifying numbers he'd be the coach with the highest win pct in cfb history. Yes he makes head scratching calls during games but the dude is a qb whisperer and they were one Marvin injury away from a title last year.

if you think Kyle McCord drives down the field for a TD yesterday with Jim Tressel you're out of your mind. We lose twice to Michigan and people call for his job.

I compare all this (and this is even more egregious) to Detroit Tigers fans wanting Dombrowski and Leyland gone. Well look what happened there.

OSU is one of a handful of universities churning this out year after year and they just won a road game against a top 10 team. Enjoy it instead of pouting.

in 6 years OSU has lost

bullshit Clemson game
Bama where they were totally outgunned defensively
Oregon where Stroud played awful
Number 3 Michigan on road
Number 2 Michigan
Georgia on Marvin injury

And really only Bama and the first Michigan game was there zero chance for OSU to win.

First thing. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at South Bend. ND fans were a lot of fun and more than one tailgate welcomed us as Ohio State fans. Had an amazing time.

On to the game itself, very cool experience. Notre Dame was pumped up and the fans were loud. Every seat had this little wrist band thing on it as well that they were able to create little light shows with which I thought was kinda cool

Ohio State's defense has surprised the heck out of me. They won that game for us. Coming out after that stupid play call in the 4th and forcing a punt was huge. Offensive line played well enough too. The gave McCord lots of time. Run blocking definitely could have been better. Ohio State better figure out how to take advantage of Harrison being doubled all night with their other receivers bc if not it's going to happen all season. We had absolutely no pash rush and our defensive backfield actually played really well. Burke seems to have returned to freshmen form. Knowles went from super aggressive last season to super conservative this season.
