GAME #6 Ohio State(-3) @ #9 Notre Dame - 7:30 ET | NBC

They had so MANY chances but I can’t be disappointed with any big road win in a tough environment.

Ohio St really didn’t get any pressure and hasn’t all year long. It’s a big problem.
A Qb making his 4th start of his career vs a 6th year starter.
Basically a new OL. They held up well.
Harrison didn’t play well and then not 100% in the 2h.
Had 4 chances inside the 5. Ebguka dropped a TD. Henderson tripped for a walk-in TD.
Day playcall-reverse on 4th and inches.

All that and Mccord steps up big on the last drive. Hell of a win

Yep people will see 14 points and think “oh good defensive performance”

Wrong. They got pushed around in the 2nd half and Hartman had a clean pocket throwing to wide open WRs most of the time

I’m sorry you’re right. Calling out a rambling old man is totally normal behavior.
Call him out but don't accuse him of being a drug abuser.

Dude just stop. It WAS a good defensive performance. The DBs played really well. The pass rush was atrocious I agree so you can't expect them to hold up when the QB can go through 5 progressions. Not sure they threw at Burke all night. They definitely picked on Iggy.

It was the #9 team in the nation and ND should have a dang good team this year. Enjoy it. It was an exciting game

Get back to me when Day manages not to get pantsed by Michigan again

Coming into the game, Hartman was leading the country in TD passes. He was held to 1. ND had only 2 plays over 20 yards.

Jim Tressel was right about OSU fans being miserable.

I don’t even care that he called him out. It was just extremely bizarre. That’s the first thing you think of after winning on basically the last play of the gm. Weird dude

The defense played well.

Some takeaways from this season so far and game:
ND might have the best OL and running in COLLEGE FOOTBALL.
ND returned their OL and had a 6th year starter at QB.
Ohio St had a kid on his 4th career start and a new OL and they held up pretty damn good.
Couple that with all the missed scoring opportunities. Yes, Ohio St could have won by more but it could have went either way.

Thinking about all that I am pretty happy with the performance this early in a season with new key starters. Ohio St showed they can win games two different ways.

They avoided giving up those back breaking bad long TDs like they did against Michigan and UGA. I’ll give them that.

But unless they get some pass rush going at some point that’s going to happen again eventually.

Also we STILL struggle to pick up 3rd/4th and short. This has been a major problem the last few years.

The one thing I thought may hurt ND is team speed. They are still slow as shit on the outside

A jet sweep on 4th and QB sneak is virtually a automatic first down still just pisses me off. Even though we pulled it out of our ass. Day needs to give up play calling totally or walk

That I agree with. That was one of the dumbest play calls I've ever seen

It was gratuitous. Lou has been a media homer for ND ever since he left and nobody takes his prognostications seriously even if he is beloved on campus.

Look they won and he had a right to say they proved his tough they were without that shot. He did not come off good in doing so.

Against a team that scored over 40 the 5 games previous

you act like OSU can just enforce its will on everyone. The other side has highly rated guys also.

This whole shtick of yours is ridiculous.
