2 ACC Regular Season Titles,
1 National Title
Duke: 89-26 overall (47-20 ACC),
0 ACC Regular Season Titles,
0 National Titles
But, yeah, he is short.
 
ACC "Regular Season" Titles don't mean shit. All it does is seed the teams for the ACC Tournament in order to crown a true champion. The Tournament Champion. There is no round robin to play each team home and away so a regular season is skewed and therefore that title doesn't mean shit other than to be proud of that 15 inch trophy you receive.

I would much rather have the regular season title than a conference tournament title

regular season titles are dumb when the schedules are unbalanced

the last ACC regular season title that meant anything was 2004

Well technically a tournament is unbalanced too.

At least the regular season you were the best team for 18 games even not as consistently scheduled as the BE and Big12.

A conference tournament is fun to watch but means jack fucking shit for any respectable team. It historicall does nothing for seeding. Doesnt help you auto win the next week when it matters. Its just a good 3 days of ball that might actually be better off resting.

That said, still love watching it.

in every level of basketball the champion is determined through a playoff or tournament. Conference tournaments are still more balanced than regular seasons are.

I think we can agree that a good regular season + good post-season run (in both the conference tournament and NCAAT) provides the best experience for a fan.

tbh, a part of me wants Duke to win this.

i doubt Wake wins in Cameron, but it would be helpful for Duke to take care of business until that game.
