ACC Basketball

Duke odds of winning the ACC tournament are -325 to -650 which is just insane.

Clemson and UNC are the only teams with a legit shot to beat them.
Louisville. UNC does not have a legit shot at beating Duke. UNC gave Duke their best punch on Saturday. Duke absorbed it and beat them by double digits in Chapel Hill.

fwiw, i don't think anyone is beating Duke in Charlotte. this Duke team is the highest rated KP team since 2002.

I saw the game

The way I look at it, UNC always has a chance to beat Duke (and vice versa) on HC or neutral, no matter how good or bad each are.

They have to beat Wake Forest just to get there though, and that might not happen

It is dumb.
Nah

I have always wanted to watch a Cal/Stanford game in person and now I have the opportunity to do so. This is a privilege that my ancestors did not have and I will not take it for granted.

Think Clemson is probably the only team that can challenge Duke, but they'll probably lose to SMU or FSU or some shit.

ACC is going to send 18% of their teams in the NCAAT. thank god the ACCT is in Charlotte this year. i don't think I could stomach traveling to DC or BROKElyn to watch such mediocre basketball.

Someone should be murdered for that call to the game. We can’t have that type of stupidity amongst us

But ya, pitt with a nightmare season. Flopped so hard after a nice start.

Pitt was top 10 in NET at the end of December.

Can't believe we lost to them and we totally blew that game too, another one that potentially will keep us out of the dance.

Yep, I remember watching that game. Couldn't believe OSU lost it.

Basically the story of our season. If we hang on to even 1 or 2 of the like 7 or 8 of those types of games we lost we are probably dancing.

Yep. Pitt doing a nosedive also didn't help the resume.

i don't usually read sports articles but this is an interesting one on the ACC's basketball decline

Per USA Today, Virginia ($161 million) had the 14th-largest athletic budget in the nation -- and highest in the ACC -- last year. The Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC owned the top 10 spots, topped by Ohio State's $252 million athletic budget.

But next year, once revenue-sharing rules are implemented, that could all change.

According to Opendorse, the ACC is set to spend more per school on men's basketball ($4.4 million) than any conference other than the Big East ($5.3 million). Once official, those rules will allow schools to commit an annual cap of nearly $20 million to their athletes (though each conference can decide on the amount of cash it wants to allot each sport).

Based on that reported financial commitment, the ACC seems serious about regaining its perch in men's basketball.

Cal's a million miles from home, played a 4 OT game on Saturday against ND, and now is in another OT game. Lmao.

Mike Young is one of the best in the business. he just needs more resources.
