Don't watch that much baseball but was watching the Indians game last night and had to see one of the dumbest plays ever.

Dude steals second base and the throw goes past the shortstop so the guy who just stole starts to go to third but holds up bc the throw wasn't wild enough. He then proceeds to just casually and slowly walk back to second base not paying attention. In the meantime, the second baseman comes over, gets the ball and tags him out. :facepalm:

Can't make this shit up

The Indians are terrible and finally really starting to play like it after a somewhat surprising start. Would be a miracle if they finish .500 at this point.
 
Are the Indians really changing their name? You'd think if they planned on having a new name by next season they'd have announced it by now as they'd likely need to start trademarking it, buying logos and signs to hang up around Progressive Field, etc. But each time I try to find an article that they've found a new name it's the same story over the last few months that they are narrowing their team names, and no article gives a front runner name, it's all very vague.

My guess is they dont end up changing the name. I also dont see why they dont just name themselves Tribe. Tribe can mean a lot of different things, but it can be focused on the Cleveland community and fans of Cleveland, yet at the same time they can keep basically their current colors, and font, just change the Indians to Tribe.

I thought the Twins bullpen was the worst of all time.

Then we played the Tigers for 4 games....
 
I just wanted to say to all the Cleveland Indians fans ... It is August 12, 2021 and the Detroit Tigers are in second place, and you are in third. Might change after the weekend ...but for now!!!!
