You vacuum seal whatever you're cooking in a bag and then you put it in circulating water at a very precise temperature. 130 degrees for mid-rare beef, and it will never overcook. You then have to take it out of the bag, dry it off and sear it so that it doesn't look like a grey mess.
What it effectively does is massively increases the margin of error for cooking. For example, if you're grilling a filet, the window you have to pull it off the grill and have it end up at the perfect temp is probably 30 seconds or so. With sous vide, it's two or three hours.

I was in a zoom job interview and the power went out.

Sucks. Sorry, dude.

Those electric bills so suck!

Are you able to get a hold of them otherwise?
It's a blackout, wasnt because of my bills.

Just glad I had the app on my phone and still had a data plan. Was able to call back in after a 5 minute delay. Still sets a bad impression.

If they blame that on you that's shitty. Nothing you could have done about it.

Yeah no blame, but things are competitive right now in the job market. Small things can make a difference.

Here in America, a blackout means something else

It's not "boiling" a steak.

Yeah it was but totally out of your control. I am sure they understood that. How did the rest of the interview go?

Went well I think. Thanks for asking.

haha

that whole Bean Dad thing is pretty ridiculous.

I think he comes off as an asshole though. Just open the can and THEN teach her how the fucking tool works!

Got the roku working. I think maybe I like the firestick better but I got the firestick on sale and roku was cheaper this time.
So I have one smart tv, one firestick and one roku.
