I seriously considered this but by the time you put it in ground it’s as much as a pool.

Precisely my question. Where you live is going to be a major determinant in what you put out there. Anyone that puts a pool in their yard in NE Ohio is a dumbassed dummyWhere do you live, cocksucker?
Amen. Firepit you can use all year. You can get enjoyment just sitting by yourself or with a group.Firepit. That's the cheapest option and easiest to get rid of when you realize sitting in the backyard getting bit by mosquitos sucks
I only use our outdoor kitchen to hold things as I grill, mostly it just takes up patio space. A hot tub you will use infrequently, trust me. You will spend a lot heating it and keeping the water clean, and when it is cold you will enjoy it until you have to get out.
Can we post this in the pretentious thread?I think what we are going to do is extend our patio 14 feet with flagstone and put up sails for shade. We‘ll get a firepit but not a built in so it won’t take up space when not in use.

Why is that pretentious? It's not like we are going to have the outdoor fishtank (wife shot that down). Can we post this in the pretentious thread?
How about a petting zoo?Why is that pretentious? It's not like we are going to have the outdoor fishtank (wife shot that down).
Just a llama? Why is that pretentious? It's not like we are going to have the outdoor fishtank (wife shot that down).
Hell no those things are mean. My wife would love some goats and chickens but 1. They aren't allowed where we live and 2. She wouldn't be taking care of them.Just a llama?
