It will probably be Fields but it should be one of the top 2 QBs in the draft and they trade Fields for a bunch of shit.

Fields isn't that guy for the Bears and he is coming up on the end of his rookie deal in the next year or so.

This is how I think of you whenever I read one of your predictions.

I saw a theory that stated basically its always good to draft a qb every draft.

General thinking is since QB is such an important position, and because finding a good QB (or a QB that is good in your system) is generally the hardest thing to do in the NFL, it is always beneficial to draft QBs even if you have a good one now.

That doesn't mean draft a QB with your early round picks every year or 2, but always try to keep your QB room fresh. If you already have a good QB and your newly drafted QB also ends up being good, you can trade one away for good draft compensation (the New England method with Brady). If the newly drafted QB doesn't work out, then no big deal you draft another one. Constantly churn the cycle when rookie contracts run out.

Bear’s should trade the pick and pick up additional draft capital.

They’ve got more issues than QB so stick with fields and get everything else shored up.

I disagree. They already have additional draft capital, and even more once you trade Fields.

The Bears are not as bad of a roster as you might think, in fact, I think it's quite the opposite, I think they have a very good, young core, with a fuckton of money and cap space in hand.

Fields is TOTALLY the problem. Great athlete. Pretty shitty QB.

So Fields was the one that completely collapsed in the 4th and gave up all those points to Denver and Detroit to lose the game? Was he the one dropping a wide open TD pass in Cleveland, or the one that turned a hail mary sitting in his lap into an INT somehow? Was he the one calling plays so predictable that opposing defensive players were calling them out for it after the game? If anything, Chicago owes Fields an apology for fucking up his first 3 years.

Yes. He was a BIG part of that. When you are unable to move the ball through the air efficiently and effectively, it stalls drives and overburdens the Defense. When you throw late picks, or fumble it 30 some odd times a season, it takes the wind of the sails of a D, and it forces the hand of the Offensive Coordinator to dumb it fucking down for him.

Tonyan dropped a TD in what, the first quarter? BFD, shit happens. And the Hail Mary shit is weak af. Did you even watch that game. Total shitshow, that should've NEVER come down to that.

Nobody owes Fields shit. He is simply not a great QB. Great athlete, good arm, good kid, just a below average QB.

LOL Fields is the reason the defense blew two double digit 4th quarter leads after he had a combined 633 total yards, 5 TDs and 1 INT in those games, what a knowledgeable take. Yeah the huge dropped TD was a massive one because it would've at the least won the game for them, if not at least forced the game to go to OT if Cleveland got a last second TD instead of a last second FG. Those 3 losses knocked the Bears out of the playoffs, none of which were Fields' fault, yet you're saying he's the main reason they went 7-10, as if having Caleb Williams last year was magically going to make the defense not collapse when they've been given two TD leads or make receivers not drop game-deciding TD throws.

I said he was a big part of it. You can't even read right, cuz you are so biased.

Nobody gives a fuck about his running stats, bro. That style is unsustainable and gets killed in the playoffs.

Both of those games, the offense did absolutely nothing in the second half. Hot starts, late sharts. What else is new? I've watched ever second of every game, and while exciting at times, I see waaaay too much of the same 'ol, same 'ol with him. The vast majority of which, have absolutely nothing to do with the other players or coaches. The critiques are squarely on him.

You love him, I am over him. Get over it.

Now that the redskins are figured out.
Watch them try & splash with their new HC & trade a bunch of picks for Fields. & try to act slick.

This seems like a good strategy, until you realize that there are only ever about 2-6 "elite" QBs playing in the NFL and maybe 10 so-so guys. Everyone else is either hoping for that elite guy or planning to draft high in the next season.

Eventually GMs will realize that you can build good offenses around passable QBs and rely on defense to keep you in games. You can do a lot on a roster if you pay 1-2 guys like Baker Mayfield / Ryan Fitzpatrick / Brock Purdy / Kenny Pickett. Throwing Mahomes money at Dak Prescott is just a waste. Even worse is always selecting Akili Smith or Johnny Football, based on hype and fear of missing out. Caleb Williams isn't a 100% bust, but there are some warning signs.

Fuck him. I changed my mind. Bears should draft him and then while he is crying, trade his ass.
LOL. C'mon, everyone eventually has to take pity on the Bears. Besides, what team would be dumb enough to trade up, effectively, for Caleb Williams? For example, the Jets aren't due to make an awful decision like that until Jordan Love is 38 and had 3 arthroscopic knee surgeries...

No dipshit, you said he was TOTALLY the problem. That is very, very different from being "a big part of it". Also who gives a fuck when the points are scored, early or late? They were scored in the game, that's all that matters. Defense didn't do their jobs and that was their fault. You're going out of your way to blame it all on Fields, that's idiotic.

The same shit you complain about is the same shit dumbass Browns fans said that wanted to blame everything on Baker. He got ran out of town, joins a TB team that actually knew how to coach to his strengths and holy shit, he has a career year. Weird how that works.

Well, it is the most important position in sports, and he HAS totally sucked at it, by every measurable statistic available, so...

At the end of the day, he has not measured up, and you can blame it on the equipment guy for all I give a fuck, but his footwork out of center and in the pocket still suck, his seeing the whole field still sucks, his accuracy is still shit, his windup is awful, and he disappears at crucial points, be it putting teams away, OR coming from behind.

I actually think he can be a starter in the league, and be serviceable, be he ain't winning shit in this era. Never happening.

You blamed him for the loss against Denver, a game where he had 335 yards passing, and 80% comp and 4 TDs. It's clear no matter what he does, you're going to blame him for shit that isn't his fault.
