Not sure when you started following college football, but Saban's Bama won 3 NCs before he changed his offense and Tua came on board. You can't point to Bama snagging any one player - those cousin fuckers had the top recruiting class for something like 8 straight years. Their worst year they were 6. Otherwise, they have been 1 or 2 since Saban got there. It's not luck.
As for QBs, they won 3 NCs with McCarron and McElroy and an FSU transfer. Those three years they won with prototypical system QBs. Tua was obviously great, but they won the next one with Mac Jones who didn't start a game until his 4th year and he lit it up. We got beat in OT in the NCG with a true freshman who is already out of the NFL after 3 years, and a former walk-on who is 5'10 on a good day. You need way more than a stud QB. Even Winston and Cam had studs around them. At the end of the day, it's talent, and Nebraska and Wisconsin you brought up in the other post don't have that level of talent yet. Not close.
Here is the 247 Talent Composite:

Nebraska and Wisconsin are 24 and 25, with 2 and 1 five stars, and 22 and 13 four stars, respectively. Compare that to Bama and UGA that have 14 and 15 five stars, and 59 and 52 four stars, respectively. The talent gap is huge, and a stud QB won't make up for that. Those two teams would have to somehow recruit at top 5 levels for at least 5 straight years to even be close, and there is no reason that is going to happen.
Look at the chart I posted in the other thread ... Nebraska can go to your state or any other in the west, but unless they get to the south and get their best players, it won't change soon or fast, IMO.
I've posted here often that I want more parity. I hope NIL, transfer portal, and an expanded CFP will deliver that.
