I love having the ND rivalry renewed and Ill never complain about beating the Irish. But kinda of a bummer to renew the rivalry right when ND is at their bottom and we are on a massive rise. Last year was a beating. This year was legit homocide.

Its fun having a team that can be so physically superior but at the same time its also pointless when its against a fellow high major. If Shaka didnt play the entire bench together for long stretches we win that game by like 50 which should not happen against a high major.

I think the only non con team we have played thats worse than ND is SOuthern. I firmly think Northern Illinois and Rider were more impressive. And St Thomas thursday might even be too.

Slick Rick gonna have to get some wins against the BE top 3 if he wants into the tourney.

Bad loss to BC

Creighton has an elite top 4 guys and absolutely can beat any team on any given night. Especially in Omaha.

But they are pretty clearly the 3rd best team overall in this league. Now they may beat MU or Uconn(at home I expect them to win both) even on the road. And I may look dumb in like two weeks in Milwaukee.

But objectively they are more dependent on 4(albeit very good) guys. Kalky is a tough match up(more for us than Uconn). But I think you can make a legit case that if you did a draft taking players from all 3 teams. The first 12ish players taken would be evenly spread between the 3 teams(top 4 or so of each) and then the next 10 players would be Uconn or Marquette guys.

I knew there was a bit of an issue when 4 guys scored all of their points vs blahhh Ok state. Thankfully CU boat races shitty teams so their NET is really good before tonight.

Last year was their year. They were almost gifted a trip to the Final 4, and they blew it.

Creighton teams have almost always lacked the consistency needed to win the conference, but can get hot at the right time and make some noise.

I agree it should be a two team race. Nobody else can play well enough on the road,

Um, Marquette, wyd?

Sleep walked. Brutal effort. Need Mitchell back bad for his energy, D and for our rotations to be normal. Without him too much bench guys playing together.

Credit the Tommies though. ANy time it was a 12 pt game. We did something stupid on offense and then they buried 2-3, 3s in a row to make it close.

BE play time. Tired of these games. Hopefully it doesnt hurt the NET too bad. They should do well in Summit.

We need Stevie back so bad. No one can do what he can defensively and our rotations are so fucked.

Also as I said weeks ago, we clearly are not going to be a good shooting team

Sure as hell not why we lost. We sucked on our own with stupidity and no effort similar to Wisconsin. Massive concern.

But would be nice if we could play in Providence 1 time with even half way normal officiating. Im not even talking good vs bad. Like shit that even makes sense. Shaky calls both ways. But per usually our smaller team gets hammered and draws nothing. Then randomly we get called for a Flagrant foul and Providence got FOUR?!?!?!?!?!?!? free throws and the ball. Wtf

Dont matter though we stink. Shaka has to revamp the offense so that players 4-8 are not shooting wide open 3s they cant make them. Play through the big 3 and have everyone else cut to the hoop they cant shoot.

Providence is always tough against BE teams at home.

I actually thought Providence would be pretty good this year, then they got thumped by OK.

Oh they are def good at home but we got issues right now

Shaka stuck with his philosophy of not using transfers to disrupt culture. Which is fine but he has to make the rotations work(easier with Stevie) and tweak the system towards what he has.

Jop was better as a 6th man and too many guys cant shoot. We cant keep having Kolek start a chain of great passes to find a wide open shooter who cant shoot. Its asthetically pleasing. But the end result is always a miss. And without that shot making physical teams can expose us at the rim.

Hope isnt lost just needs some work to reach potential

Soooooo

Buckle up this conference season I guess.

Funny cause I thought this leauge was gonna be deep this fall. Then in the non con most of the non top 3 looked like ass.

Creighton with a brutal L losing theirs at home. Huge for Nova.

Nova working on having the weirdest resume right now. Undefeated against Q1, but 2 Q3 losses. Those good wins will bode well for them.

Yea, I fell asleep.

I still think no more than 6 deep tho.

UConn just laid an egg at Seton Hall. But well see.

Yeah I think only 6 ultimately end up as tournament teams too tough to get 7 and I think most damage will be at home. Nova only road team to even win so far.

Gtown yeeeeeeeeeeeesh. They suck so bad. We were up 38 until the walk ons let up the final 8.

Cooley still has a long way to go with that team.

We really need Kam to get out of his funk. Hopefully next weekend against Creighton when we really needed him. He screwed Kolek outta 5 gimme assists alone.
