Big East Basketball

Alright, so I guess Nova is gonna be one of those, catch em on the right night type of teams. Never know what youre gonna get

Or maybe only Big 5 teams are their kryptonite?

They're not really a team yet, just a bunch of players with good talent thrown together.

Like a typical UK team.

They may gel or they may not. Any given night, they can light it up.

But the defense may not improve.

Perils of the transfer portal.

Why did Creighton get matched up wtih Ok State

We knew Creighton would be a top 10 team this year and Ok State trash. Odd match up.

Can't match up same teams from previous years so you get some uneven matchups.

That said, anybody can beat this Creighton team, but they won't lose tonight.

X does not look good but they are 7 minutes away from pulling out a huge win over Houston

Refs were brutal for a while calling everything. Houston already plays aggressive D and it got in their head now they foul literally every possession. Almost whole team in foul trouble.

X only offense is free throws(dont even make those much) they cant score otherwise and Houston just keeps bumping them

Gonna jinx it for when we play X. But they might be the worst offensive team in the country.

I know, easy answer is "but Houstons D". No, watch the game. Fuck they havent had a clue what they are doing for an entire half. Not one guy.

Saturday at Nebraska is looking like a big game for the Jays. Huskers coming in undefeated, and don't seem to be the same program they have been over the last decade or more.

Game is on Sunday. I can see it going either way. McDermott teams can always lay a clunker if they're not on offensively

Boat raced.

Cant adapt to this shitty style. And whole team is disinterested.

Jay Wright is laughing somewhere, glad he got out of this mess.

Watched Kansa/UConn last night more than the Washington/Oregon football game. Would like you guys opinion. Both Kansas and UConn looked a lot more “haphazard” than what I expected. Hadn’t seen either play this year. Am I being too critical too early?

I think its just that this year is definitely one of those years with no dominant team

Kansas, Duke and MSU might be the most laughable pre season top 3 ever. All 3 are still very talented though. But the fact people though KU was some power house(they werent undeserving of 1 just how hyped they were was nuts). And Duke/MSU were even ranked that high was hilarious.

Kansas really hasnt looked good at all but the potential is there with their bench

Im actually pretty impressed with Uconn. Getting Castle back will be huge. Karaban, Spencer and Clingan had terrible games they still almost won at Fogg with no Castle. Newton is much better than i expected this year. Same with Spencer. Karaban I figured would be good. Clingan a bit under performed he definitely should have went pro. His stock was never getting higher.

The officiating in the Georgetown/TCU game was horrible down the stretch. Totally inconsistent on what was/wasn't fouls by both teams and then TCU steps on the line on the last second shot that went it. He was clearly out of bounds. The last two minutes the officials absolutely ruined what was a good game.

To be fair

Dont think there is this mess with Jay wright ha

It might be better than it is, but one of the reasons he left was having to deal with this kind of team. A lot of talent, but no cohesion, no purpose.

I agree with UConn feeling good about where they are.

Marquette would have liked that win today, but in retrospect, it was one of the less embarassing losses today

What a joke to still be RV in both polls. Just shows you how weak this year is overall

I just cant see how Neptune lasts beyond this year if they dont perform in BE play

Watching that game against Kstate was hilarious. Nova wins by 10+ if they are coached even a little bit. Instead its all iso ball and taking guys 1 on 1.

The talent is there, the coaching is not.
