The Castle injury is both a bummer and something major to keep an eye on.

Knee injuries are never good and the fact "they dont believe its season ending" tells me its still expected to be a good amount of time at least if they have to throw that in there. I was also reading that it sounds like his camp is encouraging him to shut it down and focus on draft.

They need him to have true BE and more importantly repeat title aspirations imo.

DePaul did what they do and Gtown almost lost another brutal one, but they didnt and overall a very nice day for the league.

Uconn no suprise rolled IU

SJU got a solid win vs Utah

Prov got a needed win to salvage their MTE as well

X big beating of St Marys.

Roster wise, I don't see anything to think the bottom half of the league is going to do much this year. It'd be a big plus if they could hold their own against the middle teams from the other Power leagues and maybe pull out one or two upsets.

I think Providence and Nova are pivotal. They are potential tourney teams and need to pull out a few nice wins.

I'm not sold on SJU and less so watching them yesterday.

I think the Johnnies will get it together as the year goes on and probably sneak out a bid.

BE just needs to finish non con solidly. Then in conference play I think its best if DePaul and Gtown just lose nightly. With NET so long as teams cover the spread it wont hurt having them in the league. Stockpile wins for the middle and try to get bids that way.

Wouldnt hurt if two others like Butler or SHU struggle to win many too. Try to be really top/mid heavy and get 6 bids.

Nova is in by far the best shape because even though Neptune is blahhhh, theres so much talent on that roster. They are the one team outside the top 3 that I can see finding a way to go 3-3 or even better in their 6 games against the top 3.

Prov, SJU and even X can win games on any given night. But I think they would need a perfect storm of elite shooting games/opponent cold shooting games to split their games against the top 3 as well as their Nova games too.

If Nova can win Battle 4 Atlantis, that would be huge for the BE.

It's possible, if they can get their shooting together.

Absolutely. Easily the second best MTE resume potential for the teams in the league. UCONN and Creighton should win theirs but they dont need it as much and dont have as good of resume builders.

If Nova can get a win against TT/UNC and really anyone in that bottom half(assuming Stanford has no shot) thats a great 3 days. Huge for the league.

Really win that first one vs TT and just split the other 2 and thats a good result too

MU finding a way to pull that one out was probably the biggest win for the conference in the non con.

The difference between us playing fucking Chaminade then hopefully Gonzaga(could still be Cuse) instead of Kansas and Purdue/Tenn is astrononmical. Even if we lose both.

Creighiton 18.5 Loyola Chicago/ WTF??

I think win or lose the Purdue game doesn't matter. But Marquette has to beat Wisconsin this year

Had no idea Bynum was on Stanford. Good pickup for them

Dixon such a Jekyl & Hyde

Sad representation of team ball and UNC, Villanova basketball

That was an ugly game. Two teams that need some work take the win tho

Creighton getting backdoored by Colorado State. Creighton team has a propensity to get destroyed

Memphis is horrendous. How did they win 2 games here?

ESPN takes the game off the air, and Memphis goes on a 21-0 run... good job ESPN

Great showing for Nova

Even with the Penn debacle they are the clear 4th team right now. Still think SJU will be a bitch through out conference play and make the tournament.

Hopefully Providence too as a 6th team.

Big for the league getting Nova to collect 3 really solid wins to offset Creighton having a massive clunker.

Playing Southern easily the worst team on our schedule this week for Badgers week is a blessing and curse.

One had everyone is well rested seeing as we basically sat the starters the whole second half. On other hand 1 game vs Southern in like 10 days is kinda meh.

Alright, so I guess Nova is gonna be one of those, catch em on the right night type of teams. Never know what youre gonna get

Or maybe only Big 5 teams are their kryptonite?
