It was close, but they pulled away at the end, their guards killed ours on the boards, we should be able to beat them in Philly.

All in all, I think the ceiling for both teams is pretty low for different reasons, but both could be tourney teams.

A win could have moved the needle, but a loss didn't hurt too much.

St Johns is one of those teams I can really see go either way.

On paper I think they have the roster of a team that is a 5 seed and picks off a 1 seed in the 2nd the weekend.

But they've played much more like a team that gets in the 8/9 game then gets blitzed by a SEC team.

Luis and Richmond don't shoot well enough, even though they have overall talent and play hard for Grandpa Pitino.

Nova shoots it pretty well and is starting to be more cohesive, but they don't have the toughness. Poplar gets pushed around and looks like he wants to be on a G-League roster.

The hope is that Xavier and Providence just stay dead and buried and it comes down to which one of Creighton, St Johns, Nova can beat each other.

But you know X is going to come with their BS, useless 7 game winning streak.

I think St Johns is pretty locked into the 3rd BE bid. The 4th bid will come down to Creighton, Nova and Georgetown. Outside chance two of them get in for 5 bids

Thatll require the top 3 all losing's at least 5 league games though

I mean we deserve to get beat. We are playing like this for way too long with a soft front end BE schedule so I cant bitch much

But that goal tend call was an absolutely travesty. LIve? Sure. But since you can review it, it was bout as obvious a clean block as you can get

I agree they got robbed, he got the ball before it hit the glass. I also agree this DePaul team sucks.

Especially allowing that fool with the headband to tear them up.

At least OT gives them a chance to make the score look respectable.

I've never seen DePaul want a game so bad though

This DePaul has guys that can shoot so there's that aspect they don't have from other teams. But yeah they still stink. That goofy looking cartoon sketch made 3 prayers in OT

Whatever. Win. Move on. We have to pick it up ASAP. Front loaded soft BE schedule is making them comfortable and playing stretches like shit

And I know its Shakas philopshy to develop guys but he's gotta stop doing line changes to the bench early in games when we are rolling.

Offensively, they were good down the stretch. Weren't afraid to lose, kept taking the shots they wanted.

Defensively, not great, but DePaul shot themselves in the foot enough times

Need to figure out a zone. Fast. Its gonna keep coming.

First half D got out of sorts due to subs and blown lead. Second half we treated it like we had to just bomb 3s cause they had a 40 pt half and we shot well.

In reality we clamped down in the second half and didn't need to launch 20 3s.

Have to clean it up. Or losses will come

Nova vs providence ending was something. Not sure who was worst

Players? Prov kids not knowing how to dribble or pass. Nova for missing free throws

Refs for being morons

Or two of the worst coached in the league duking it out. Neptune going full Neptune and doing the foul game up 3 with ELEVEN seconds left. Or English having 3 tries to draw up winning play and all of them being horrendous
 
Not a good time for Sobert to miss a game

Gtown losses 3 tough ones to the top of the league. Now has the season killer losing at home to DePaul
 
This team is a disaster right now. Embarrassment.

Refs letting them play. And Xavier is pounding us in the paint and our guys just keep turning it over.

Team just needs to lose games right now because they are taking nothing serious. No one helping Kam. Who as a result is now the worst shooters in D1 cause he has no space or legs.
 
To make matters worse we actually play great defense that even half competent offense would have seen us potentially come back from down 19

The offense today makes the Nc State game look glorious. Incredible

JFC. We actually had a Kam open looks to fucking tie. Unreal. Didn't deserve it tho. His shot just still broken too. Then force a steal with 12 seconds left. Nothing

Couple shaky calls late hurt too

But brutal game. Just wild to play that awful then somehow stumble into a shot to tie twice.

Sucks to lose, but a good day for the BE. 5 is looking more likely now.

Xavier always finds a way to muck up things up.

I only saw the end, but they see, to be in a cold spell. Need to find a way to play better in the 1st half

It would be at the cost of Marquette and UConn, but 5 is possible.

The SEC will just continue to cannibalize itself and not many mid majors to steal bids this year
