Bad loss for Nova

Thats a weird team to seed imo. 15-4 in a major conference, good metrics but really the resume itself is not very good. If they are a 2 seed it wouldn't bothet me but if they're a 5 seed it wouldn't bother me either

By the numbers it's a bad loss, but the Big East is tough conference to judge.

Marquette is in 2nd to last but they whooped NC on the road and beat Wisconsin.

That said, I don't think the conference is as good as it has been, for sure.

I think a 5 is probably impossible. I think 3 is floor.

It's interesting. Like a team like FSU has a better resume than Nova imo but they seem to be consistently lower on the seed lines which makes me think its got to be the metrics but they other teams with similar metrics to Nova are on lower lines too. I feel like I'm missing something with them. Not sure what though

I think their resumes are fairly similar.

I think any of the teams on the 2 and 3 line are pretty interchangeable. For me, it's more about matchups.

Wohoooo 6 roads wins!! Also we actually beat DePaul!!!!

Dj Carton continues to be the most wildly inconsistent player i've ever seen. He went all world for 5 minutes to take over this game. Simply cant do it for full games though.

Definitely was zero before the game.

Gillespie was a good player but him being your best player limits your ceiling.

Some sort of run is still possible, but it also makes losing early (both BET and NCAA) more likely.

Yeah I was probably generous. But with CG while Nova is not deep nor nearly as good as their title teams they still have a really quality starting 5 that could get hot and make a push for a title(even if actually winning it is basically non exsistent). But now, I think even a run beyond sweet 16(1 of win would be against a shit team) would be shocking.

Shame all around.

Sucks for the kid. Sucks for Nova. Sucks for the BE which is already mostly a joke.

I think UConn has a good shot to win a couple of games if Bouknight gets hot. They are fairly consistent. But their seed is too low right now. If they can somehow get it into the 5/6 territory, by winning the BE tournament, they've got a shot.

The others too inconsistent, gotta throw Nova without Gillespie in that group.

Sometimes the 11 seed is better than the 7 or 8 seed

Uconn with Bouknight is pretty damn solid. And they have insane length and athleticism that will make them a nightmare to play.

Agree with you that not sure they are overall talented enough to make a huge run if their seed stays where its at. But if it rises or they get hot, they will be a pain in the ass.
 
Nova fought hard to comeback there but they are absolute fucked now if Moore is also out.

This league is just a bunch of blahhhhhhhhhhhh. If we beat X right now, its truly a 3 bid league barring a BE tourney win by a team not in the 3.

The level of play in this game or the officiating. Probably dead even.
