fwiw, the ACC is probably sitting pretty right now if they added Penn State along with Florida State in 1991. That was absolutely on the table, but the basketball retards didn't want to kill round robin ACC ball so PSU was never invited. Adding FSU/ Penn State in 1991 + Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Miami in 2003 probably saves the ACC. League needed more state schools, but nobody knew we were going down this road..so here we are.

Yeah, I knew they were strapped for cash. I couldn't remember why, but what you're saying makes a lot of sense. It'll never not be weird to me that they aren't in the ACC.

Yeah, I agree. Adding PSU back then would have been huge for the league. It also hasn't helped Miami is going on two decades of irrelevancy.

losing South Carolina in the early 70s also hurt. something i would never have said 10 years ago, but its abundantly clear now how important it is to have schools with big alumni bases in your conference. South Carolina sucks at sports, but they have passionate fans that always support their school/team. its funny b/c everyone knows they hate Clemson the most..but god damn, those people fucking hate UNC too. It's insane.

Northwestern is 72 in the NET and 58 in Kenpom. They lost to chicago state one of the worst D1 programs

If you knew anything about b-ball you’d know that TShan plays out of control alot and takes some bad shots. Doesnt play unselfish at all. We look way more cohesive as a unit. But you look at 21 per game and it’s all over for Illinois. More comedy

Shannon has a eFG% of 61.6% you block head. Hes been insanely efficient all year.

Then again you used to argue that Curbelo was good so this insane incompetence is par the course.

No one said TShan can’t score but the kid can go cold quick and plays out of control. He was shooting better this year. Apparently we can still score averaging 100 points in 2 games without him.

Curbelo was good his freshman year until he had to shoot from outside.

Northwestern falls from the in-conference unbeaten.

Illinois doesn't look like they miss Terrance Shannon Jr, but Purdue looms @ West Lafayette on Friday night.
