Big Ten Basketball

It's truly amazing at how bad McCaffery is at teaching defense

Holy shit #33 for Minnesota

What is your lifting routine, bro. I must know it

Good win. But it's very irritating to watch the team pick and choose when to play D

That said it's good to get one we shouldn't have since we lost like 2 or 3 already we had no business losing

That was a hilarious collapse.

Wow. Holtman wacked before season end

@osubuckeye89 how you celebrating??

I'm shocked he actually got canned. Yes this is a cause for celebration. I thought for sure Gene Smith would drag ass into retirement and not do shit, basically leaving us stuck with him heading into next season.

Really surprised they did it before season end. But I guess no point dragging it out.

Now they can start doing back channel reach outs to gauge interest

I am. Dude has been horrible. He's greatly underachieved relative to his recruiting classes and his upcoming class is awful.

Going to be a rough year before it gets better but this is the best year to rip the band aid off.

Maybe they can get Matta back.

What's funny is that Holtmann and Matta are almost the same age. I thought Matta was like 70

I also think Chris Beard is still the best coach in College Basketball, and anybody who wants to roll the dice is going to win.

Yeah everyone thinks Matta looks old as shit. Only 56. Crazy.

I think OSU makes a play at McDermott

Smart move for OSU to do this now. Odds are Louisville opens up, and perhaps IU and Michigan as well. Start putting those feelers out towards the candidates. Oats is the slam dunk hire. His buyout is huge, but money isn't a problem for OSU.

I'd take any number of options. I'd kinda prefer the coach to be more Oats age than mid 50s like Miller but it's not a huge deal.

Lamont Paris would be my #1 pick out of this group currently.
I'm with you on Oats not being a very likely hire, but Paris makes a lot of sense.

Fun fact - new AD Ross Bjork's mother grew up 20 minutes south of Findlay and worked there at Marathon for years, so there's an interesting tie.
