Big Ten Basketball

Edey complaining about anything is hilarious, guy gets away with murder constantly
I'm interested to see how he does in the NBA. The height and reach advantage is incredible but my goodness does he lack physicality. If he was 6'9" he'd be working at Best Buy.

On the plus side, Diebler might be the guy, which would be cool.

Diebler is on the staff that sucked and underperformed for 7 years.

I love that they came together yesterday but that would be a huge mistake.

I'm not saying give him the contract now, but if he can turn things around and get us into the tournament, why not? He was also an assistant for a couple of really good Valpo teams and is also credited as the primary recruiter who got Darius Garland to Vandy as a 5*. He's young but not too young, he knows the program and seems to have some fine recruiting chops. Maybe getting Holtmann out of his way is all he needed.

Or maybe we crumble and don't make the NIT, hell if I know.

I just can't do it.

not my call but this run has been a miserable failure. I'd cut ties with everyone

Very well could end up happening too. If/when they go with an outside hire I'd assume that will be happening anyhow.

They didn't hit the bonus until there were less than 30 seconds to go in the 2nd half and that foul was intentional.

On one move to the basket, Edey hit Zed Key twice and neither was called a foul. It's hilarious.
We all saw what happened last year in their 1st game after 3 months of big 10 refs.

I can't believe Illinois is only one game behind Purdue. The difference in the two teams is monumnetal

That's more realistic. It would have (8-7) Nebraska winning both of it's home games and winning one of it's 3 road games to finish (11-9).

Even then the 6th place finish depends a lot on others in the same group of middlers losing.

Michigan is just (2-6) at home, so if Nebraska's gonna win a road game that's the most likely.

@Red_Alert - changing nothing but having us lose to Rutgers puts us fifth

But that has Nebraska winning all 3 road games.
Nebraska will be lucky to win 1 road game.

That has Nebraska a 6 seed regardless if they win one road game or lose all 3 as long as they win both home games.

It'll then likely come down to them needing to win two Big 10 tournament games (on a neutral court) to get into the NCAA Tournament.

Nebraska does have a neutral court win over PAC 12 bottom feeder Oregon St in Sioux Falls, SD. If you can call that a neutral court.

Tomorrow night is big. Indiana has lost 2 straight at home. Let’s make it 3. Then see what happens. ESPN gives the Hoosiers as 50.1% chance of winning. lol

Nice couple days for Iowa

Win vs Wisky
Win at MSU

At least giving themselves a shot to get on the tourney with another couple quality wins

What are we thinking @ericd7633?

2 more Q1 wins? 3?

I think you'll need a combination of 5 wins based on your remaining schedule. Just those 2 Q1 wins, and then a win over SH and Nebraska who are both 50/50 to make it. Plus a Q3 loss. The good thing for Iowa is that the predictive metrics have always been relatively good throughout the year, so they have that going for them.
