Iowa hoops under Fran have kinda annoyed me though with him being such a Bo Ryan style lunatic. That mixed with their propensity to find an endless supply of white guys has kinda made them a knock off version of Wisco to me. That and they even share the Bohannon family tree haha.

Yeah, I agree about both bball programs needing to be better/consistent. Iowa had a decent run under Alford in the early to mid 2000's, but the Gophers were absolute trash in those years, minus the 05 season.

I do find Fran annoying at times, but some of the time it is LOL worthy with his meltdowns. I don't think anything can come close to Wisconsin. The amount of annoying guys to go through that program is unparallel. Lol. Brust, Gasser, Showalter, Davison. It's been a decades worth of annoyance. Not to mention the GOAT of annoying in Bo. Plus a little credit should also be shown to @greatdayne. Lmao. Dude was such a homer.

MSU played better tonight. Iowa bench won that one. Weiskamp and Fredrick scored 2 pts combined yet still put up 84 and won . Couldve been easier if we had made free throws but all wins are good ones in this league

Wisconsin's success in both revenue sports is kind of annoying, b/c it makes very little sense.
 
Iowa really had no business winning this game. I’m pretty convinced the post season this year will be no different than I’ve seen the entire time Fran’s coached this team.

To be fair this MSU team is rancid and somehow broke 80. Correction..........just missed hitting 80

Iowa is fine though right now, did their job. Just unlikely to string together many in march if they dont defend.

I try not to overreact to a few games. Each game you've got a scouting report and you base your scheme on that. 100% guarantee the scouting report on MSU was " they are athletic and quick but can't shoot so keep them out of the paint and make them make shots "

To Spartys credit they knocked em down tonight. Sometimes that happens. All on all Iowas starters played poorly, we shot fts for shit, MSU shot lights out and we still won by 6

Dude, I've been watching this team since black and white tv. You can say whatever you want, but it's the same old story.

This was supposed to be the most talented Iowa team since the kenny Arnold days. They underwhelm and play the same old Franball.

You have been the biggest cheerleader since before the season even started. Not sure what you think you see that everyone else doesn't. I see laziness, defenseless, hustleless and cockiness.

If you think I'm overreacting after just a couple games, then you aren't paying attention.
 
Maybe I'll eat crow and Iowa will prove me wrong next month, but until they do, they're the same old Fran team.

Fran is one of the best offensive coaches in college basketball, while simultaneously being one of the worst defensive coaches

it's amazing. Iowa would be a top 15 team year in and year out, if they played halfway decent defense

I think Iowa plays hard pretty much all the time so I'm not sure where you get laziness. Yes the D is just average but it's never going to be elite in Frans system. I'm not sure how good you thought we'd be but I thought we'd be 14-3 right now and we are 13-4. This is definitely our best tean since the late 80s thiugh. I'm not sure why you'd disagree with that

Frederick out for Iowa tonight. He's probably their 4th/5th best player, but he's really important for them.

Hes definitely our best defender though. Tean has looked really different without him since 2nd half of the Indiana game.
