Big Ten Basketball

Every time we get close they start firing up awful quick 3s again and Nebraska gets the lead back to 8/10. A good coach would coach them to stop that. A good coach holtmann is not
 
Gophs battled, but tough to win when you dont have a coach. Johnson drawing up a shot to win is comedic gold.

Payne was also pathetic and so was Dawson most of the game sans a 7-0 run by himself.

Missed free throws too.

Comical. Last game vs MSU down like 6 with over a minute left. Plenty of time to extend the game. He calls TO to draw up Mitchell immediately taking a 40 footer on no legs(he didnt sit like all game). Unreal. Gopher fans tried to defend it and say Mitchell went rogue. Uhhhhh thats even worse if your players flat out dont listen.

Today was nuts. Gard was smart, played to extend the game and had Storr attack immediately. Fouled. Lead. Ben? Calls time out and tells us to dribble out 15 second while the whole team grabs their dicks. Then panic drive and toss some sort of off balance floater. Miss.

Its the basic job of coach. Have just one actual play to run.

If Illinois beats NW that could really cause some separation between the top 3 teams and the rest of the B1G. NW tough to beat at home though(unless your Chicago St...wtf)

As a Nebby fan. I think that 4th place finish would be huge to get a couple of days to watch the tourney. Just not trying to play on day 1 though

Yeah I think hes about done. Their non con wasnt very top end heavy this year, but you still cant collapse in a weak Big10 again with the talent he brings in. Good recruiter but seems to of lost something as a coach.

Gopher fans keep bringing him up as a option, like I know the bar is low but cant be going that route.

It's too bad we are stuck currently with a lame duck empty suite AD who is cruising to retirement at the end of June.

Would be nice to fire him now and see if maybe Diebler our assistant can get a spark out of these guys and salvage the season somewhat.

Unfortunately I'm guessing with the AD turnover not happening until July that we are likely stuck with Holtmann heading into 2024-2025 as well though. This sets us back even more.
