Big12 race

I very much fear the 10-3 conference champ will miss the playoff.
I won’t be surprised at all to see the SEC champ wind up with a similar record TBH.

If they cannibalize, I could easily see two undefeated G5s pass them.

There just aren’t teams that look like they’ve separated themselves.

3 loss bigxii champ will still be ranked in the top 16

You won't get 2 g5 teams above that

You are probably correct. I've stated previously that I'm not a fan of the top four conference champions getting an automatic first round bye. I could see a 10-3 or 9-4 conference champion being the 16th ranked team or something like that.

You'd rather the first round byes always go to b1g/sec teams?

That's the alternative

Yep, if that is where the four best are. Even if all four are in the same conference. Reward the four for being the best. Isn’t that what March Madness does? The four best teams get the #1 seeds regardless of conference affiliation don’t they.

And isn’t that what is done with the rest of the CFP “seeding”. 5-8 will get home games regardless of conference. And it will be 12 vs 5, 11 vs 6, etc regardless of conference.

I’ll be the first to admit that there is quite a bit of subjectivity in deciding the order of “the best”. But if it is good enough for 5-8 (or 1-68 in MM) why not 1-4 in the CFP?

Obviously, I’m in the minority on this .

I don’t think any of the 3 are THAT much better than the rest of the pack TBH. Granted the talent rosters are better at those 3 ATM but Georgia has already struggled with KY who lost to SCar and then beat Ole Miss, Texas struggled with MSU, Alabama struggled with USF.. anything can happen week to week.

Some other conferences are saying... Hold my beer.

Does the big 12 run through Lubbock now because the actual respectable programs left? Idk, only time will tell. Can I just have a consistent 9 win program….. you know the thing we had under leach…… but we decided to fire him……. For a decade plus of fucking sadness

Probably the dumbest damn thing Tech has ever done...at least in my lifetime. Leach's biggest mistake was giving Adam James a scholarship.

Know what would be funnier that hell?
Oklahoma State firing Gundy after all the chances he’s had to leave for better jobs

Well, Baylor no longer controls their own destiny
