Sure, it's hard to replace Saban and following him could be career suicide, but the bigger problem is you aren't entirely replacing him. His quote that he is going to have an office upstairs and would still be able to get after the players might make it a bit harder to take.
Coaches tend to want to come in and do things the way THEY have always done things. I'm sure there's a coach out there that would like Saban staying on as a mentor and advisor, but I can also see it turning off strong independant coaches looking to build up things their way.
I assume that means he's taking over as soon as we lose a game.
