BREAKING: Saban Retiring

My Calls would be…

1. Sarkisian- He will say No
2. Lanning- Probably Yes
3. Demeco Ryan’s- 50/50

Ryan's is not 50/50. Maybe like 20/80. He has an up and coming team and riding ridiculously high at the pinnacle of the sport right now. He also spent most of his career with the Texans so they have the loyalty draw just as much as Bama

Lanning isn't leaving Oregon. He loves Oregon and is literally building what he could at Alabama or Georgia right here in Eugene and he is about to enter a stable conference in the B1G. Zero reason to take another job at this point. He's got it made at Oregon and has proven you can build a powerhouse at Oregon.

Alabama is getting either;
Dabo
Kiffin
Smart
The reason it won't be Lanning is Bama won't put up with losing to their rival 3 straight games.

:dhd:

The idea of Sark getting an offer at the top program in the sport just does not click in my head at all.

Wild times.
After this season i had to stop myself from calling him seven sark

Lots of bold predictions out there. Going to be an interesting time.

Yeah, he seems to have gotten over the hump, and I get he got Texas turned around and looking good and in the playoff. I get he now has Alabama ties. I get he’s a changed person in general from what we had.

But goddamn, it’s crazy to think he was on the verge of wearing out his welcome here after earning all the good will of turning an 0-12 team into a bowl team by year 2. After the 5th 7 win season though, it was almost a relief USC was buying whatever he was selling.

Now he’s being mentioned to replace Saban.

If I'm the Bama AD my first call is to Manhattan, KS.

There was a lot of criticism about how he called plays in the Sugar Bowl though and I remember Saban sometimes ripping him a new one on the sideline. If he has say in it, wonder how he really feels about him as a HC vs his OC.

Yeah, wasn't expecting him to hang it up so suddenly... but I can't blame him. He's 72, and what else does he need to prove as a coach? Might not be my favorite coach nor has he coached for any programs I've had much love for, but CFB will never be the same without him.

Lincoln Riley or Lane Train
