Wow. Hopefully this is a brief episode and he's on the mend.

He's been a huge positive IMO. He plays in a way that, in my opinion, is similar to Lucas Hernandez. Speedy recovery to him.

Yes he does. Phonsie missed 5 months last year with the post-COVID heart swelling though.

Also looks like Laimer to Bayern is “imminent”. A guy like Gravenberch is not going to like that news.

That I heard. Neither will Goretzka. Goretzka may not be long for Bayern Munich. A logjam at the midfield.

I think that's all of them. No clue why they needed Laimer, to be honest. Unless, perhaps, they know one of the above won't be here much longer. Sabitzer and Gravenberh have to not be pleased. I imagine Neuer is not pleased today as well.

Sommer is 34 may not be a long termed. No he is probably not happy. Ulreich too not happy but who cares about him lol.
 
Looking at the lineups today. Mane still injured with the tendon injury. Mazroui the COVID the heart condition. Of course Lucas and Neuer out for the year. Goretka ailing (again) too. Sommer is starting. Muller seems to be on the bench now as Chopo and Musiala now ahead of him.

For Leipzig, Nkunku out with his knee injury through February. Looks like he is transferring to Chelsea for $61 million. A bargain imo. Could not find any news about Werner ankle injury.

You see our favorite from Wolfsburg days Weghorst signed with Man U? That World Cup game vs Argentina he had an incredible display when he came on and that must have got him signed. Looked bad in his first game, and was brutal at Burnley. We'll see of Ten Haag can right him into form again.

I did see that. I hope he does well so as to confirm we didn't see a BuLi fluke.
 
Another Chopo goal. A beauty from a pass from Gnabry. Overall not a lot of quality play but I would say Bayern slightly better. Hit the post, had the offside goal taken away, so a little unlucky also.
 
Second half..yikes. Not good. The Bayern midfield not good. Kimmich, Goretzka, and Musiala maybe the worst players on the team today. Kimmich made the bonehead pass to set up Leipzig goal. Midfield was totally overrun in second half. How bad was it? Bayern XG .84. Have to be way better to beat PSG coming up. Anyways, good news they got a tie on the road against a team who has not lost in 13 games...same stretch as Bayern. Scheduler did Bayern no favors having Leipzig on the road after 65 days of no games. They are done I think wth Leipzig and Dortmund on the road I believe.

P.S. Upa lucky he did not get a red card.
 
Yank Sommer distribution dreadful. Will miss that most with Neuer out.
