He would have been fired next year thus my comment finish one more year and work out a "retirement" where he gets paid.

Calapari is 65 years old and just signed on to coach until he is 70. The dude has to be worth millions and could probably make 1mm a year doing TV.

He needed to stay and let it play out.

Lmao, no it doesn't. Bro has had numerous opportunities to parlay it and he hasn't really actually done shit to earn a blue blood job since said VCU run.

That UK went with Mark Pope should tell you how past the shark Smart is to the blue bloods in the hiring department. Money isn't going to be an object to Kentucky Basketball.
