Cars that were different, Strange, or a Novelty, you have seen driving around

Here in town some jack wagon got a Mercedes SL completely chromed. Every body panel. It is annoying as fuck to drive by on a sunny day.

Also years ago I used to see this guy in the DFW driving around in a car that he had modified to look like it was a jet. I know I have a photo somewhere, I'll try to dig it up.

One of my neighbors has a MINI Cooper painted as Swedish national flag.

Imagine thispainted on this.

When I was in grade 1 or 2 ('61 or '62), my uncle was the Vice Principal of my elementary school.

He drove an NSU Prinz. I remember the name, not so much the heritage.

The grade 7 boys lifted it up and put in on the cement bike stand. Grade 7 boys.

I remember reading an article about the guy or guys that created these street legal bumper car buggies out in California. With medium sized motorcycle engines they were capable of hitting 100mph if I remember correctly.

I have a few more of the photos saved to a folder of car pics.

Safety was obviously not a priority.
420 hp motor connected to go cart clutch sprocket!!!!

You telling me that ain’t safe?!?! Haha

I would think it would pull wheelies if it ever got traction and flip end over end.
