CFP Top 25 Guesses

My guess here is the committee will reward Washington's better resume.
The problem is that UDub can't play defense and the committee will weigh that heavily. And what resume? They have played a terrible schedule. Not as easy as UGA's, but other than Oregon, who have they played?

Not advocating for being no. 1 - don't care. But you can't just go by who you beat. The committee has shown they look at the teams themselves. They look at talent, progress, injuries, etc. For example, they will see UDub can't play D, and has some really close wins - they won't focus on one win. Duke? Seriously? The Duke that just got beat by 23-0, that is 5-3? I'll give you the LSU win, but they have 2 losses and are terrible on D.

Point being you can't just look at wins ... the committee, believe it or not, is more sophisticated and knowledgable.
Well, Georgia is the best team in the country. I don't think they are as dominant as last year, but still the best. Yes duke. Ranked, decent team, whole body of work etc.

We'll see. I aint betting my house on it.

OU lost to Kansas but their best win of the year was over Jexas. That means OU too has beat Bama.
ooh so this means Texas also beat aggy this season ????

FTR, I really don't care about where they have my Horns ranked tomorrow.. Only because, this is the first time that we have ever been part of a CFP ranking inside the top 10... it may be our first and last week, or maybe not..

just gonna enjoy watching all the upset takes :)

I think wins over Notre Dame and Penn State land tOSU at the top to start this charade.

2. FSU (Beat duke and LSU)
3. Washington (Beat Oregone)
4. Georgia (Beat KY)

5. Michigan (Beat nobody of note)
6.Texas (Beat Kansas and the best win of the year @Alabama)

Best win of the year belongs to UW

Michigan has won their games by an average of 34 points, while only giving up more than 7 points once this year (and that one time was 7 points).

If Stalions screws over Michigan with his stupidity, in the one year they actually have a legit shot to win a title -- I think fans will hunt him down.

(Michigan made the CFP the last two years, but only the rose colored glass homers thought they had a shot to win it all. This is the best team Michigan has had since 1997 and it still takes teams like Georgia, Bama, etc to be having teams not up to par with their squads they have had in years past, for Michigan to have a legit shot to win a title.)

The first ranking means nothing. It is just for fans to argue. It is like the preseason rankings.

My bad. The first ranking is a momentous moment for all involved. It is the pinnacle of college football. Better?
add a smiling emoji and we are good.. if not...

- tOSU has had its ups and downs and what is their best win? PSU ... they looked terrible.
- FSU might look the best but the Clemson win has lost its luster, and LSU has one of the worst D's in the country and has 2 losses.

PSU ... they looked terrible.
I've watched PSU three times this year and their QB looks brutal and they have looked terrible in each game. Indiana is terrible and they gave PSU all they could handle. Northwestern is terrible and they were tied at the half and they were in a dog fight into the 3rd quarter with them until pulling away.

Yeah, if you take away their top 10 win their resume isn't as good.

I do not get the PSU love, at all. They just don't look good at all.
