CFP Top 25 Guesses

That was definitely me after the USF game. Defense is starting to step up, and I agree, they could beat anyone in the country on the right day. I'm not thrilled to see them with Sayin next year, that kid looks scary.

If Bama and UGA win out the regular season and Bama wins in the SEC title game it gets real interesting. Would they leave a undefeated FSU or Washington out for a 1 loss UGA who's only loss was to a top 4 Bama team? You can sure bet the massively SEC friendly media would be crying for it.

Or does 1 loss Oregon who wins the Pac title over Washington get left out in favor of UGA? I could see that happening.

Bama winning out definitely has the chance to make shit real whacky that last weekend.

Not only would those teams get in, but a 1loss bigxii or pac champ would get in over uga

lol at Ohio state being #1

Doesn't make sense to have OSU at #1, but FSU at #4. Hate the inconsistency.

Louisville sitting at 13 after getting drug around by a god awful Pitt team 2 weeks ago. The 4 games they have left, they could win them all, but they could also lose them all. Imagine them winning out and beating undefeated FSU in the ACC title game :pound:

It makes sense if you are using advanced metrics to partly inform your rankings, as I suggested they would.

12 feels kinda ambitious for Mizzou but I dig it

Also if they win Saturday (yeah pretty unlikely but still) the committee just took away their bragging rights of beating the No. 1 team.

What metrics? FSU is better than UGA in defensive and offensive efficiency, is better in game control, and is only 1 spot behind in FPI(which im not sure they even use).

I posted multiple metrics people use to rank teams based on overall quality earlier in this thread. And there are many others that I didn’t post. Almost all of them have Michigan and Georgia over Florida State and Washington.

11 of Top 12 in new Big Ten and/or SEC.

Is that right?

I think they got it right for the most part
