Changing oil

No one said a anything about being afraid to change it. Any contrarian opinions to DIY have been of sound reason
 
I want to hear about this fancy Audi that doesn't have a drain plug.

Because I'm pretty sure that is not the case.
 
There's certain projects others might DIY that I don't out of fear, changing the oil isn't one of them. I still change the oil in my old truck that I don't drive much, it's just easier and and by the time you buy the oil and the filter, you're saving a minute amount of money, and if your time has any value, you're losing money.

I won't tackle any plumbing job that requires sweating copper lines because I haven't done it much and I'm not confident in my ability to do it right, and I'd rather pay to have it done right than me do it and potentially fuck it up.

I do all of my own plumbing, electrical, and (almost all of my) auto maintenance.

I grew up poor as fuck and my dad was a good teacher.

i know you revel in being an asshole but the drain plugs on these audis arent made to be opened and then closed again without replacement and are purposely in a position with limited access but you be you :thumb:

I'm more likely to swap out a transmission in my old truck on my own than change the oil in my new truck. I do most of my own plumbing, but I pay someone to tackle water heaters(luckily that doesn't come up much). I build my own shit too. I'm pretty handy with a cutting torch and a welder.
