No argument here. He has done a terrific job where he is at. And his name is going to be a huge recruiting asset so I have no doubt a top tier program will be talking to him

Deion's arrogance will bring a a top tier program to their knees. I wouldn't be surprised to see him bring the death penalty to whoever is dumb enough to hire him. He's cancer.

The big question is why a big school would be so stupid as to give such a large buyout, much less to someone of such questionable character. They get what they get.

I don’t get why everyone keeps inferring that Jimbo has questionable character.

I don’t remember a time when one of his program was under investigation or had issues.

The lone exception was Jameis Winston who had the crab leg thing and the rape accusation. Both were handled decently enough. The rape thing by far was the worst but the alleged victim didn’t follow through and I don’t remember it being a program wide problem.

Yeah he left FSU but when you look at the discrepancy in money and how he had to fight to keep assistants at FSU it makes sense.

Now you can say he left FSU in bad shape but he didn’t do that on purpose he just didn’t get the players. He paid a shit ton for aTm last class but it was legal.

I honestly haven’t seen anything that made me question his character so I don’t think that is fair.

Fisher most certainly did not handje the Winston situation anywhere close to correctly, he’s scum. FYI the school ended up paying over a million when Fisher said Winston had done nothing wrong.

1. That article you linked doesn't really say much at all.

2. The million you mentioned breaks down to 50/50 split between the alleged victim and the attorneys, in other words, the attorneys took it on contingency and basically threaten to try FSU on title 9 (which would have cost millions to defend) so they settled. I'm not saying something didn't happen but criminal charges were not brought so we can't just make the assumption that Winston was guilty. I don't like the situation but I saw Malzahn kick more than one kid off the team only to see later charges were dropped and the alleged victim recanted. A lot of gold diggers out there but a lot of victims also and we will never know what really happened.

I don't see Jimbo as an Urban Meyer type.

The article says exactly what I remember, he went out of his way to berate anyone that dare said anything about Winston. Lots of coaches say no comment, he did not. It was shameful and obviously I’m not the only one that thinks so.

I don't have a problem with coaches sticking up for their players as way too many are thrown completely under the bus but I'll say the Joe Mixon issue at Oklahoma was just as bad and there was video evidence. He should have been gone and not played another down.

Winston is innocent until proven quilty and he was not charged.

I agree on Mixon but Stoops at least didn’t go out on a limb and demonize the girl. . Obviously in todays climate neither would have survived, but Fischer took things to a level he never should have, and had no reason to do.

I don’t have a dog in the fight and all I saw was Jimbo taking up for his player and none of us know the truth of what happened. Normally I’d take a girl’s 100% of the time but I’ve seen too many cases where false claims are being made.

I can’t get to the point of saying Jimbo has poor character as I don’t think that’s fair and I haven’t seen repetitive behavior that makes me feel that way. Even his divorce wasn’t on him as his wife was a serial cheater. If you feel his character is bad then that’s your decision.
